Trek The Himalayas Hatrick at Himalayan Tourism Samman Samahroh

On March 22-2025, Trek The Himalayas was yet again honoured with the Best Adventure Tourism Provider and the Responsible Employer Award at the Himalayan Tourism Samman Samahroh (PHDCCI Tourism Awards) organised by PHD Chambers of Commerce and Industry at Hotel Madhuban, Dehradun. This is the third consecutive time that Trek The Himalayas has received this award. Getting the award for the first time is always a matter of surprise and excitement. Receiving it for the second and the third time is a matter of great efforts and expectations on the part of the company and its founders to maintain the standards of adventure tourism in Himalayas that Trek The Himalayas has been doing for years.

best adventure tourism provider award 2025

Being the pioneers of sustainable trekking in India Trek The Himalayas has set the bar high for trekking in the country. The company back in 2010 was started with the mission to promote and practise responsible trekking in Himalayas. Since the very start the company has maintained it, by first educating its trekkers on the rules of mountain manners and sustainable tourism.

To consolidate this practice the company started with the initiative of Heal Himala. An initiative that allows the trek leaders to take up volunteers from their groups and clean the slopes and trekking trails. This practice was started after the company saw many trekkers coming to the Himalayas and leaving behind their trash. Healing Himalayas initiative not only contributes towards saving and cleaning the great mountain range, but also aspires to teach a whole generation of trekkers the importance and know-how of cleaning the trekking trails.

Eco-friendly trekking practices have a lot to do with practising mountain manners. From preventing the trekkers from plucking the flora, to being as quiet as possible to not to disturb the fauna living bedside the trail, TTH educates its trekkers on all of that. Along with creating a respectful Himalayan trekking culture, Trek The Himalayas has also created employment opportunities in the remotest of the remote regions of the mountains.

The backbone of the company, the trek leaders of Trek The Himalayas are none other than the localities of mountains who got themselves trained and are now changing lives through trek leading. The large trekking groups going to the Himalayan regions call for homestays, hotels, conveyance services, availability of general stores, local guides, porters, support staff and so on at the slopes. Trek The Himalayas is one company that is facilitating these services and doing their bit in preventing migration.

Besides that the company has many stories of people returning to their towns and villages when they discovered business and employment opportunities there. The nurturing and exchange of culture that happens through these treks is yet another dimension of tourism that Trek The Himalayas is becoming a witness and participant to.

responsible employer award

Becoming the best trekking company in India and receiving the accolades and recognition doesn't come easy. If it's an adventure provider company, then the risks and challenges increase even more. But Trek The Himalayas has never compromised on its values. From adhering to strict medical codes, to making sure that the trekkers respect the culture and nature that appears at the trail, to proactively organising cleaning drives, Trek The Himalayas does it all; all the while providing the safest adventure.
