Both the treks feature beautiful campsites. The Kedarkantha trek features the beautiful ‘Juda Ka Talab campsite, where you get to camp beside a frozen lake amid pine forests. The smell of pine and snow created a magical aura in the air around me. On a clear night, you can see the sky dazzling with a million stars. The Brahmatal Lake campsite is equally stunning. You camp beside the frozen lake, in a snow-covered clearing and are surrounded by behemoth peaks. At night, the sky here is dazzling with a blanket of stars.
Snowfall Received
Kedarkantha Trek is synonymous with snowfall and it receives an abundance of snowfall during peak winter months from December to March. The trail is completely covered in snow, creating a snowy wonderland. Brahmatal also does not fall short when it comes to snowfall. Towards the end of December, the snow starts right from the base village of Lohajung and you will find snow all along the trail till the summit.
