Nag Tibba is a two-day trek, perfect for beginners as well as a good introductory trek to kids and families.
The trek trails are vibrant and beautiful with wildflowers blooming and lush green forests. It usually has pleasant weather with clear skies throughout the year, while in winters it gives you a beautiful experience of snow. Winters here are from December to February, and it arrives with an abundance of snow, creating mystical charm in the scenery. You can witness Nag Tibba at its peak beauty during these months. The entire region transforms into a wonderland, with snow-laden trees and trails whitewashed with snow.
The beautiful trekking journey to Nag Tibba begins from Pantwari village that is around 85 km away from the capital city Dehradun. Before reaching Pantwari, we will drive through Mussoorie, the queen of hills. You can enjoy the scenic window view while you ride through the picturesque locations.
Pantwari is a serene hamlet located close to Mussoorie. From Pantwari, you trek through a well-marked trail, with beautiful views and crossing the forests, you will reach Camp 1. Camp 1 is the campsite for the first day, it is a small clearing with forest around. The campsite offers a beautiful evening show of the sun setting behind the mountains painting the sky in various shades. The region during this time is perfect for photography creating mystical scenery.
At night you can sleep in a serene environment under the sky full of stars.
The next day you will trek to the summit, and witness the surreal views. Just before reaching the summit, you will cross a dense forest area with a steep ascent. Views from the summit are worth the climb and you will feel the thrill of being at the top of a mountain.

However, as you ascend, especially closer to the summit, the signal becomes weak or erratic, so it’s a good idea to inform someone in advance and enjoy some digital detox while you're up there.

The total trekking distance for the Nag Tibba trek from the base camp is around 16 kilometers (to the summit and back). The trek usually starts from Pantwari village, and it includes a steady climb to Camp 1 and then to the Nag Tibba summit. It’s a moderate trek that can usually be completed in 2 days.
To reach Nag Tibba from Delhi, you first need to get to Dehradun. There are two main options:
Take an overnight train from Delhi to Dehradun.
Or take a bus from ISBT Kashmiri Gate in Delhi to Dehradun ISBT.
Once you reach Dehradun, a 90-kilometer drive (around 4–5 hours) will lead you to Pantwari village, which is the base for the Nag Tibba trek. From Pantwari, you’ll start your trek towards Camp 1 and then further up to the Nag Tibba summit, followed by a return trek to the base.
The Nag Tibba summit stands at 3,000 meters (9,900 feet) above sea level. This is the highest point you’ll reach during the trek. From the top, you get stunning views of many famous Himalayan peaks like Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Nanda Devi, and parts of the Gangotri range. It’s a rewarding view, especially on a clear day.
The Nag Tibba Trek can be done throughout the year, making it one of the best short treks in Uttarakhand. Winters offer snow and a magical white landscape, while spring and autumn give you pleasant weather and clear views. However, it’s best to avoid the monsoon season (July to early September) as the trail can be slippery, and heavy rain may block the views and increase the risk of landslides.

90% trek fee refund in cash & 10% as a voucher (valid for 1 year, for any India trek).

Force Majeure
First, you can arrive at Delhi, Dehradun Airport or Chandigarh. The journey from these locations to Dehradun is explained below.
1. Take an overnight train from Delhi to Dehradun.
2. Take a bus to Dehradun ISBT from Delhi Kashmiri gate ISBT or Chandigarh Sector 17 Bus stand, and then take local transport to the pickup point (Prince Chowk).
Delhi to Dehradun - 250km | 6hr.
Chandigarh to Dehradun - 220km | 5hr
The distance from the Dehradun Bus Stand (ISBT) to the Railway Station is 6 km, without traffic, it will take 15 minutes.
( We strongly recommend to go for the govt. Buses over the private ones outside the bus station as based on the experience we have found that there are very high chances of delay involved with private buses. Also, govt. Buses are always more reliable. Whichever bus you choose, just make sure to reach Dehradun at least by 05:30 am positively. )
3. Take a flight to Dehradun airport (Jolly Grant Airport), then from the Airport to Prince Chowk, Dehradun Distance is 30km and it will take around 1 hr( if coming by flight then reach one day early).
( If you prefer to travel independently to Base camp and don't want to take TTH's pick-up service, you can either take a government bus or book a private cab from Dehradun. Your trek coordinator will provide guidance on how to arrange for the bus or cab booking. )

Government employees can avail the benefit of Special Casual Leave (SCL) when they join us for a trekking expedition. As per Pay Commission guidelines, up to 30 days of Special Casual Leave can be availed in a calendar year for trekking or mountaineering expeditions conducted through a registered organisation.
