Location: The Gaumukh Tapovan trek is situated in the Uttarkashi district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It commences from Gangotri, a sacred town perched at an altitude of approximately 3,100 meters (10,200 feet), and proceeds to the stunning Gaumukh Glacier, the source of the holy river Ganges.
