29th January, 2026 - Trek Update: Treks Are Experienced Memorable Snowfall

As the fresh snow has graced most of the trekking regions, a lot of new batches have embarked on their journey to witness snow on different treks. The news of fresh snowfall has created curiosity as well as enthusiasm among the trekkers. Hence, trekkers must go on treks after being absolutely prepared to walk on the snowy path or whatever weather condition it is in their respective trekking regions.

Therefore, we are closely monitoring the weather conditions so that we can keep you updated on all the latest weather forecasts. So, here is our latest weather information across all the treks:

INDIA TREKS UPDATE

• Uttarakhand Treks

Winter Kuari Pass Trek

The weather in the Kuari Pass base camp (Pipalkoti) is all bright and sunny today.

As for the trek update -

• The 24th January batch is on the last day of their schedule. Today they will drive back from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.
• The two batches of 25th January and one 26th January batch are also back in Rishikesh.
• The 28th January batch is on day 2 of their schedule, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Gulling Top.

Chopta Chandrashila with Deoriatal (5 days)

The weather in Sari, on the Chopta Chandrashila Trek, has turned once again and today it’s completely sunny.

As for the batch update -

• The 25th January batch is on the last day of their trek, and today they will drive back to Rishikesh.
• The 26th January batch is on day 4 of their schedule, and today they will move from Baniyakund to Chopta and trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila and return.
• The 28th January batch is on day 2 of their schedule, and today they will move from Sari to Alpine Lake Deoriatal.

Dayara Bugyal Trek

The weather conditions on the Dayara Bugyal trek have completely changed, and it is quite sunny there.

As for the batch update -

• All the current ongoing batch (24th and 25th January) batches have come back to dehradun.

Kedarkantha Trek

The weather in the Kedarkantha base camp Sankri is sunny today. Regarding the batch update —

• The 24th and 25th January batch is coming to Dehradun today.
• The 26th January batch is on day 4 of their schedule, and today they will move from Kedarkantha Base to Kedarkantha peak, descend to Hargaon camp.
• The 27th January batch is on day 3 of their schedule, and today they will move from Juda-Ka-Talab to Sankri.
• The 28th January batch is on day 2 of their schedule, and today they will move from Sankri to Juda-Ka-Talab.

Brahmatal Trek

The weather in the Brahmatal base camp (Lohajung) is all bright and sunny for now. As for the batch update -

• The 25th January batch had come back to base camp mid - trek due to the continuous snowfall. Today, they will be going back to Rishikesh.
• The 27th January batch is finally moving according to their schedule, and today they are on day 2 of their schedule, and now they will move from Lohajung to Gujreni.

Gulabi Kantha Trek

The weather at Hanuman Chatti has also changed and it is quite sunny for now. And currently, there is no ongoing batch of Gulabi Kantha.

• North East Treks

Sandakphu Trek

The weather in Sepi, the base camp of the Sandakphu Trek, remains sunny. As for the batch update—

• The 24th January batch is on day 6 of their schedule, and today they will move from Aal to Timburey via Sandakphu.
• The 25th January batch is on day 5 of their schedule, and today they will move from Thokum to Aal.
• The 27th January batch is on day 3 of their schedule, and today they will move from Samanden to Phalut via Gorkhey.
