The weather across the trekking regions of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand remains mostly pleasant today. After experiencing rain for almost a week in all the trekking regions of Himachal and Uttarakhand the weather has taken quite a turn, and it's sunny today.

Although, all the trekking batches are operating as scheduled. However, as weather in the mountains can change quickly during the monsoon season, trekkers are advised to carry all essential monsoon trekking gear and remain prepared for sudden changes in weather.

We recommend adding a few buffer days to your trekking itinerary and staying updated with the latest trek advisories. Here's the current status of all the ongoing trekking batches.

UTTARAKHAND TREKS UPDATE

Valley of Flowers Trek

The weather at the Valley of Flowers base camp (Pipalkoti) has taken a turn, and it's sunny today. As for the batches:

• The two batches of 8th August are on the last day of their schedule, and today they will drive from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.
• The two batches of 9th August are on the 5th day of their schedule, and today they will move from Ghangaria to Govindghat and drive to Pipalkoti (Badrinath optional).
• The two batches of 10th August are on the 4th day of their schedule, and today they will trek from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and back to Ghangaria.
• The 11th of August batch is on the 3rd day, and today they will trek from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and back to Ghangaria.
• A new batch of Valley of Flowers has begun on 13th August, and today they will move from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.

HIMACHAL TREKS UPDATE

Hampta Pass Trek

The weather at the Hampta Pass base camp (Manali) is sunny today. As for the batches:

• The 9th of August batch is on the last day of their trek schedule, and today they will drive from Chatru to Manali.
• The 10th of August batch is on the 4th day of their trek schedule, and today they will trek from Shea Goru to Chatru and drive to Chandratal.

Pin Bhaba Trek

The weather at the Pin Bhaba Pass base camp (Kafnu) is sunny today. As for the batches:

• The 9th August batch is on the 5th day of their trek schedule, and today they will Kara TO Phutsirang.
• The 10th August batch is on the 4th day of their trek schedule, and today they will rest and acclimatize at Kara.

LEH - LADAKH EXPEDITION TREK

Across Leh–Ladakh, trekking routes the weather has taken quite a turn, and the weather has shifted from cloudy to little drizzling today. There are chances that it might rain heavily later on.

Therefore, we firmly advised all the trekkers to keep a close watch on local weather updates and stay prepared for sudden changes in weather conditions.

Kang Yatse 2 Expedition

The weather at the Kang Yatse 2 Peak Expedition is cloudy today. As for the batch update:

• The 8th August batch is on the 6th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Hankar to Nimaling.

Dzo Jongo East Peak With Markha Valley

The weather at the Dzo Jongo East Peak Trek is cloudy today. As for the batch update:

• The 8th August batch is on the 6th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Hankar to Nimaling.

• Cloudy and rainy weather is manageable with the right preparation, albeit extra caution is needed in the Himalayas.
• Before stepping out, it's always better to check the latest weather updates.
• Pack appropriate rain gear, and ensure your equipment is suitable for wet terrain.
• More importantly, follow your trek leader’s instructions earnestly, and avoid unnecessary risks.
