TTH Trek Update: Monsoon Weather Continues, While New Batches of Pin Bhaba and Valley of Flowers have Begun Today
All the trekking regions are now experiencing either rainy or cloudy weather. In Uttarakhand, it’s all cloudy in the trekking region, but in Himachal Pradesh, some regions are experiencing cloudy weather, while some are rainy.
Therefore, this is our firm advice to all the trekkers: while backpacking, don’t forget to reach out to your trek coordinator to ask about the weather and pack accordingly. Also, keep an eye out for the regular trek update that we post on the “trek update” column of our website.
Now, here are the new batch updates.
UTTARAKHAND TREKS UPDATE
Valley of Flowers Trek
The weather at the Valley of flowers base camp (Pipalkoti) is cloudy today. As for the batches:
The 5th July batch is on the last day of their schedule, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.
The two batches of 6th July are on the 5th day of their schedule, and today they will move from Ghangaria to Govindghat and drive to Pipalkoti (Badrinath Optional).
The 7th July batch is on the 4th day of their schedule, and today they will move from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and back to Ghangaria.
A new batch of Valley of Flowers began on 10th of July, and today they will move from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.
HIMACHAL TREKS UPDATE
Hampta Pass Trek
The weather at the Hampta Pass base camp (Manali) is rainy today. Sometimes it gets rainy and sometimes it gets cloudy. As for the batches:
The two batches of 6th July are on the last day of their trek schedule, and today they will drive from Chatru to Manali.
The 7th July batch is on the 4th day of their trek schedule, and today they will trek from Shea Goru to Chatru and drive to Chandratal.
The 8th July batch is on the 3rd day, and today they will trek from Balu Ka Ghera to Shea Goru via Hampta Pass.
The 9th July batch is on the 2nd day, and today they will trek from Chhika to Balu Ka Ghera.
Pin Bhaba Trek
The weather at the Pin Bhaba Pass base camp (Kafnu) is rainy again. As for the batches:
The 3rd July batch is on the last day of their trek schedule, and today they will drive from Kaza to Manali.
The 5th July batch is on the 6th day of their trek schedule, and today they will trek from Phutsirang to Bwaldar via Bhaba Pass.
The 6th July batch is on the 5th day of their trek schedule, and today they will trek from Kara to Phutsirang.
A new batch of Pin Bhaba began on 10th of July, and today they will drive from Shimla to Kafnu.
Yunam Peak Expedition ( 6th July to 13th July)
The weather at the base camp of Yunam Peak, which is Manali, is rainy today. As for the batches:
The 6th July batch of Yunam Peak is on the 5th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Bharatpur to Base Camp.
Note: The 5th July Friendship Peak batch was unable to continue to Friendship Peak and was subsequently redirected to the Yunam Peak Trek.
Overall, the weather is ideal for trekking, sightseeing, and camping. But, this is our firm advice to keep 2-3 buffer days in your trek schedule. Just don’t forget to prepare yourself in the right way for a monsoon trek and you are all ready to explore and witness the Himalayan beauty.
