7th March Weather Update: The sky in all the trekking regions is all Bright and Sunny except for the Sandakphu Trek.

Great news from the mountains! The spring sun shines brightly and pleasantly across all the Himalayan trekking routes today, except in Sandakphu. The weather has taken a U-turn there, but in other regions the sky is all clear, and visibility is excellent.

So, trekkers can expect crisp mountain air and spectacular views of snow-capped peaks in other regions, but for Sandakphu, we firmly advise you to prepare yourself.

  • Uttarakhand Treks

Winter Kuari Pass Trek

Today, the weather in the Kuari Pass base camp (Pipalkoti) has turned all sunny. As for the batch updates—

  • The 2nd March batch is on the 6th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.


Chopta Chandrashila Trek

Today, the weather in the Chopta base camp (Sari) is all bright and sunny.

  • The 2nd March batch has already completed their trek yesterday, and currently, there is no new ongoing batch of Chopta Chandrashila today.

Kedarkantha Trek

The weather at the Kedarkantha base camp in Sankri is all Sunny again. As for the trek updates—

  • The 2nd March batch is on the last day of their trek schedule, and today they will depart from Sankri to Dehradun.

Brahmatal Trek

The weather at the base camp, Lohajung, is all Sunny today, and it’s perfect for trekking.

  • The 1st March batch has already completed their trek yesterday, and currently, there is no new ongoing batch of Brahmatal Trek today.

Dayara Bugyal Trek

The weather at the base camp, Natin, of Dayara Bugyal is Sunny again.

  • The 2nd March batch has already completed their trek yesterday, and currently, there is no new ongoing batch of Dayara Bugyal Trek today.
  • North-East Treks

Sandakphu Trek

The weather at Sepi, Sandakphu Base Camp, has suddenly changed, and it has become cloudy today. As for the batch updates -

  • The 1st March batch is on the last day of their schedule, and they will move from Timburey to Srikhola and drive to NJP via Sepi.
  • The 2nd March batch is on the 6th day of their schedule, and they will move from Aal to Timburey via Sandakphu.

The gentle mountain breezes and warm sunshine will keep the trails pleasant in all the other trekking regions except for Sandakphu. For Sandakphu, we advise that trekkers pack their stuff with the help of the trek leader’s guidance.
