5th March Weather Update: Sunny Weather Continues to Sweep the Himalayan Trails
Great news from the mountains! The spring sun shines brightly and pleasantly across all the Himalayan trekking routes today. From high-altitude alpine passes to dense forests, the landscapes are bathed in golden sunshine.
The skies are clear and visibility is excellent. So, trekkers can expect crisp mountain air and spectacular views of snow-capped peaks. Ideal conditions for steady climbs, photography, and experiencing the Himalayan panoramas.
Here is today’s update for our currently running treks:
INDIA TREKS UPDATE
- Uttarakhand Treks
Winter Kuari Pass Trek
Today, the weather in the Kuari Pass base camp (Pipalkoti) has turned all sunny. As for the batch updates—
- The 28th February batch is on the 6th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.
- 2 batches of 1st March are on the 5th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Tali forest camp to Pipalkoti via Gurson bugyal and Auli.
- The 2nd March batch is on the 4th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Tali forest camp to Kuari pass and back via Khullara top.
Chopta Chandrashila Trek
Today, the weather in the Chopta base camp (Sari) is all sunny today. As for the weather updates—
- The 1st March batch is on the 5th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from drive back to Rishikesh.
- The 2nd March batch is on the 4th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Baniyakund to Chopta (drive) and trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila and Return.
Kedarkantha Trek
The weather at the Kedarkantha base camp in Sankri is all Sunny again. As for the trek updates—
- The 1st March batch is on the 5th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Hargaon camp to Sankri.
- The 2nd March batch is on the 4th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Kedarkantha base to Kedarkantha peak, Descend to Hargaon camp.
Brahmatal Trek
The weather at the base camp, Lohajung, is all Sunny today and it’s perfect for trekking. As for the batch updates –
- The 1st March batch is on day 5 of their schedule, and today they will move from Brahmatal to Lohajung.
Dayara Bugyal Trek
The weather at the base camp, Natin, of Dayara Bugyal is Sunny again. As for the batches—
- The 1st March batch is on day 5 of their schedule, and today they will move from Nayata to Natin village and drive to Dehradun.
- The 2nd March batch is on the 4th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Chilapada to Dayara Top and trek to Nayata.
Gulabi Kantha Trek
The weather in base camp, Hanuman Chatti, of Gulabi Kantha is all sunny today, an ideal condition to do the trek in nature.
- The 1st March batch is on day 5 of their schedule, and today they will move from Kandola Channi to Hanuman Chatti and drive to Dehradun.
- North-East Treks
Sandakphu Trek
The weather at Sepi, Sandakphu Base Camp is sunny today.
- The 27th February batch is on the 7th day of their schedule, and they will move from Timburey To Srikhola And Drive To NJP Via Sepi.
- The 1st March batch is on day 5, and today they have moved from Thokum to Aal.
- The 2nd March batch is on the 4th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Phalut to Thokum.
Although morning temperatures are still cool, as the sun rises, the trails are warmed up comfortably. In other words, gentle mountain breezes and warm sunshine keep the trails pleasant and enjoyable.
Carry sun protection, stay hydrated, start early, and keep an eye on changing afternoon winds at higher elevations.
