3rd March Weather Update: New batches of Chopta, Dayara Bugyal, Sandakphu and Kuari Pass has begin

Weather conditions across the Himalayan trekking routes are clear and sunny today. It’s a great day for adventure enthusiasts as the spring has entered its visual best. Dense forests, lush-green meadows, blooming rhododendrons, and excellent visibility are the highlights that you just can’t ignore.

As most of the routes are expected to experience stable weather, daytime temperature will be comfortable and pleasant. For nature lovers, it’s an ideal opportunity for photography and sightseeing. However, early mornings and evenings at higher elevations may still be cool, so layered clothing is recommended.

So we would like to wish all the trekkers a safe, comfortable and enjoyable journey in the sunshine.

Here is today’s update for our currently running treks:

INDIA TREKS UPDATE

• Uttarakhand Treks

Winter Kuari Pass Trek

Today, the weather in the Kuari Pass base camp (Pipalkoti) has turned all sunny. As for the batch updates—

• The 28th February batch is on the 4th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Tali forest camp to Kuari pass and back via Khullara top.
• 2 batches of 1st March are on the 3rd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Gulling Top to Tali Forest Camp.
• The 2nd March batch is on the 2nd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Gulling Top.

Chopta Chandrashila Trek

Today, the weather in the Chopta base camp (Sari) is all sunny today. As for the weather updates—

• The 27th February is on the 5th day of their trek schedule, and today they will drive back to Rishikesh.
• The 1st March batch is on the 3rd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Deoria Tal To Tala Village and drive to Baniyakund.
• The 2nd March batch is on the 2nd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Sari to Alpine Lake Deoriatal

Chopta Chandrashila 3 day Trek

Today as well, the weather in the base camp (Baniyakund) is all sunny. As for the weather updates—

• The 2nd March batch is on the 2nd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Baniya Kund to Chopta (drive) and trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila and Return.

Kedarkantha Trek

The weather at the Kedarkantha base camp in Sankri is all Sunny again. As for the trek updates—

• The 27th February batch is on the 5th day of its schedule, and today it will move from Hargaon camp to Sankri.
• The 1st March batch is on the 3rd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Juda-ka-Talab to Kedarkantha Base.
• The 2nd March batch is on the 2nd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Sankri to Juda-Ka-Talab.

Brahmatal Trek

The weather at the base camp, Lohajung, is all Sunny today and it’s perfect for trekking. As for the batch updates –

• The 1st March batch is on day 3 of their schedule, and today they will move from Gujreni to Tilandi.

Dayara Bugyal Trek

The weather at the base camp, Natin, of Dayara Bugyal is Sunny again. As for the batches—

• The 27th February batch is on day 5 of their schedule, and today they will move from Nayata to Natin village and drive to Dehradun.
• The 1st March batch is on day 3 of their schedule, and today they will move from Gui to Chilapada.
• The 2nd March batch is on the 2nd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Natin to Gui.

Gulabi Kantha Trek

The weather in base camp, Hanuman Chatti, of Gulabi Kantha is all sunny today, an ideal condition to do the trek in nature.

• The 1st March batch is on day 3 of their schedule, and today they will move Kandola Channi to Seema Thatch.

• North-East Treks

Sandakphu Trek

The weather in (Sepi) Sandakphu base camp continues to be Cloudy today also. Occasional showers may be expected.

• The 27th February batch is on the 5th day of their schedule, and they will move from Thokum to Aal.
• The 1st March batch is on day 3, and today they have moved from Samanden to Phalut via Gorkhey.
• The 2nd March batch is on the 2nd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Sepi to Samaden via Ramam.

Once again, except for Sandakphu, all the other trekking regions are experiencing pleasant weather suitable for trekking. Trail surfaces remain firm and dry, making ascents and descents more manageable. Light mountain breezes may be present at higher elevations, but overall conditions remain calm and soothing.
