Friendship Peak Expedition

A peak that has the flavor of both trekking and expedition and should be at the realm of your expedition bucket list is Friendship Peak. It is considered a difficult level of expedition. If you have been trekking for a while and want to step into mountaineering then Friendship Peak is for you. Friendship Peak reveals a peak climbing experience at just 5,000 meters.  Surrounded by thriving meadows and dense forests with thick snow blankets on the summit. The summit opens up stunning views of Indrasen, Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba, Shitidhar, and the distant Dhauladhar range. The summit is filled with heavy snow; there will be an abyss and sights of glaciers.

Who can participate

  • Experience high altitude treks at least 2 treks of more than 4500 mt. or 14,700 ft.
  • The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 6 km of distance in 35 minutes without stress.
  • Climber should be able to carry a 10 to 15 kg expedition bag pack.

Yunam Peak Expedition

Region:- Himachal 
Duration :- 8 Days 
Grade:- Difficult 
Max Altitude:- 20,100 Ft.

One of the rare six thousand that is equivalent to Stok Kangri peak in Ladakh, the Yunam Peak expedition is not for the faint-hearted trekker.

The Yunam Peak is located on the far side of  Himachal Pradesh where the mountains are rugged and sparse in greenery. The highest motorable road in the state ends in Baralacha La, only a few kilometers from Yunam base camp, where the pathways of Ladakh, Spiti, and Lahaul intersect.

Climbers who are attempting the Yunam Peak should have at least done one high-altitude Himalayan trek as it is a challenging trail. The expected physical agitation and unpredictable weather conditions at the higher reaches of the trek have the potential of a deathly challenge. Climbers must put grit against grit and overcome this hurdle with strong will and determination.

  • Experience of high altitude trek, at least 1 trek of more than 4500 mt. or 14,700 ft.
  • The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 30 minutes without stress.
  • Climber should be able to carry a 10 to 15 kg expedition bag pack.

Rudugaira Peak Expedition

Region:- Uttarakhand
Duration:- 13 Days
Grade:- Difficult
Max Altitude:- 19,086 Ft.
Approx Trekking Km:- 50 Kms.

A chance for aspiring Mountaineers to get a grasp of what Mountaineering is all about. Many consider this as a training peak to gain high-peak climbing knowledge. Rising to the height of 5817 meters, this peak lies in the Rudu Valley of the Garhwal Himalayas. The summit climb is known for mind-blowing sights of Gangotri peaks. The expedition starts from the religious center Gangotri and moves high up through meadows, snowfields, glaciers beside Bhagirathi river.

The trek route goes through glaciers, snow-filled paths. One needs to get acquainted with using crampons, gaiters, roping up, ice-axe, etc. The trek also introduces the concept of Load Ferry, where backpack and necessary equipment is shifted to higher camps first while staying at lower camps. The expedition is suggested to experienced trekkers or BMC certified people who wish to learn more about Mountaineering.

Who can participate

  • Experience of any high altitude trek, at least 2 treks of 5,000m/16,400ft.
  • The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 6 km of distance in 30 minutes without a stress.
  • The climber should be able to carry a 10-15 kg backpack.

Dzo Jongo Peak Expedition

Region :- Leh, Ladakh
Duration :- 10 Days
Grade:- Difficult
Max Altitude :- 20,500 Ft.

Yet another stunning 6000meter of the Ladakh region. Do not try to compare this to Stok Kangri or Kang Yatse peaks. Dzo Jongo is a unique peak offering an exceptional journey of its own. It lies right next to Kang Yatse peaks in the Markha Valley. It is of height 6250 meters with an enduring summit climb. The peak is not a technical peak therefore a beginner can attempt it.

The trek begins from the famous Lato village which en routes Manali-Leh highway.  The trek unexpectedly goes through 3 high passes of 5100+ meters namely, Shiul, Chak and Kongmaru La. The entire trek route shows various colours of the mountains from beige barren to dark brown muddy to reddish copper.  The trek is a perfect amalgamation of a variety of views and strength leading to the summit. Therefore, this peak is best for people preparing for bigger expeditions.

  • Experience of high altitude trek at least 2 treks of more than 4500 mt. or 14,700 ft.
  • The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 6 km of distance in 35 minutes without a stress.

Kang Yatse II Peak Expedition

Region :- Leh, Ladakh 
Duration :- 11 Days 
Grade:- Difficult 
Max Altitude :- 20,500 Ft. 
Approx Trekking Km:- 80 Km

The spectacular-looking Kang Yatse II is the most important peak in the Markha Valley. It is accessible through the Markha Valley from both sides. The Western summit, Kang Yatse II is at an elevation of 6250m which is a bit less busy compared to its neighbour Stok Kangri. It is one of the most preferred peaks when it comes to climbing the 6000-er but you should be properly acclimatized before attempting this peak. Some fascinating views of Nun Kun & Zanskar range to the west and K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum Massif to the far North.

One of the highlights of summiting the Kang Yatse II is without requiring professional mountaineering skills you can be at an elevation of more than 6200 meters. Climbing this peak also can be taken as your introduction to basic mountaineering. The altitude, terrain, and gradient throw a lot of challenges to the trekkers which they need to overcome to reach the summit. Kang Yatse II should definitely be on your list if you are a true adventure seeker.
