Doodhpathri

If you're up for a trek filled with history, beauty, and excitement, then the Doodhpathri Trek in Kashmir is calling your name! This amazing journey takes you through some of the most stunning meadows and hills of Kashmir, where you'll be treated to breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and lush forests.

But what makes this trek truly special is its fascinating history. It all begins at Bodhpathri, once home to an ancient Buddhist monastery whose ruins still stand today. As you trek through the meadows, you'll have the chance to explore these historic remnants and imagine the monks who once lived here.

As you climb higher, you'll reach Tosamaidan, a vast meadow with a unique past. Once used as a firing range by the Indian Army, this area is now a protected wildlife sanctuary. Keep your eyes peeled as you trek through the meadow – you might just spot rare birds and animals along the way!

The Doodhpathri Trek covers a distance of around 50 kilometers over two days, with an average altitude of about 13,100 feet. Along the way, you'll cross babbling streams, trek through dense forests, and spend your nights resting in cozy tents under the stars.

Nafran Valley Trek

As you trek through the forests and rolling hills of the Nafran Valley Trek, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and lush meadows. But what makes this trek extra special is the chance to immerse yourself in the local culture. You'll get to witness the life of the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities, who are nomadic shepherds living in the region.

Tarsar Marsar Trek

During the trek, you'll cover about 48 kilometers over four days, reaching heights of over 13,500 feet. Along the way, you'll pass through charming villages, walk through meadows filled with colorful wildflowers, and cross babbling streams. And when you finally arrive at the twin lakes of Tarsar and Marsar, you'll be blown away by their clear waters and the breathtaking mountains surrounding them.

Kashmir Great Lakes Trek
