Gulabi Kantha Trek Flagged Off as ‘Trek of the Year 2025’ by Trek The Himalayas and Uttarakhand Tourism

On 28th September 2025, a new trek “Gulabi Kantha” was flagged off by the IAS Dheeraj Singh Garbyal, Secretary Uttarakhand Tourism. Other dignitaries present at the event were - Banshi Lal Rana (Additional Chief Executive Officer), and Mrs. Poonam Chand (Additional Director).

Trek The Himalayas is organizing this very first batch in collaboration with Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board. This is the 5-day trekking expedition that will start on 28th September 2025 and end on 2nd October 2025. We are thrilled to announce this new trek, which is equally exciting and full of surprises.

It’s noteworthy that the Uttarakhand Government every year announces “Trek of the Year” title for new upcoming treks. This time Gulabi Kantha Trek receives this honour.

About Gulabi Kantha:

Gulabi Kantha Trek is an extremely beautiful and scenic trail with a raw, untouched charm. The high altitude meadows of this trail gives a rare opportunity to see dreamy sunrises and sunsets. A wide variety of blooming wildflowers on the way create a picture-perfect canvas.

This trek is remarkably breathtaking yet lesser-explored and it offers an easy to moderate challenge to hikers. A 360 degree view of the Himalayan peaks seems miraculously picturesque from Gulabi Kantha. Also, one can easily witness the diamond-like sparkle of twilight summits. Due to these attributes, this trek is perfectly suitable for beginners and families.
