Dayara Bugyal Trek is now a 5-Day Adventure

Dayara Bugyal Trek with Trek The Himalayas is now a 5-day adventure. We made this thoughtful change after reviewing the route, schedule and trekkers' feedback. This trek previously used to be a 6 day trek, which will now be completed in 5 days. This update will be effective for all upcoming batches starting from September 2025.

Our team has very thoughtfully made this decision, the ground team rechecked the trail and, after careful planning, made the decision. The team found out that the trek can be easily completed within 5 days, without missing on key experiences or location. Everything which makes a trek beautiful, including the vast meadows, the forest trail and the vast mountain views will remain exactly the same for the trekkers, only the duration is shortened.

What has changed?

The change is made only in the final days of the itinerary. Earlier, trekkers would return from Nayata to Natin on Day 5 and then drive from Natin to Dehradun on Day 6. Now, trekkers descend to Natin on Day 5 and drive back to Dehradun on the same day. The trek from Nayata to Natin covers around 5 kilometers and takes approximately 3 hours to descend. The drive from Natin to Dehradun is about 180 kilometers and takes around 7 to 8 hours.

Our team observed that these distances can now be comfortably covered in a single day due to improved roads and a much better transportation system, reducing the overall journey time.

Why Was This Update Required?

We at Trek The Himalayas believe in constant improvements for our trekkers trekking experience. With trekkers' comfort and time in mind, we often review our trek plans. Recently, we realised that Dayara Bugyal, which is a scenic and amazing trek, is being missed out just because of the long duration, so we are now wrapping it in 5 days while the beauty and everything remains the same. We believe this 5-day plan now matches the pace of most trekkers and keeps the excitement alive.

Benefits for trekkers

Let's come to how it will benefit the trekkers, the first benefit is that trekkers would not need to spend 6 days. For young trekkers, we have noticed that they try to wrap the trek quickly and return back, after these changes, the trekkers wouldn’t have to rush and can return with the team. Another benefit for trekkers to Dayara Bugyal is, now they would not have to spend a day at the base camp of Natin. They would directly be transported to Dehradun. One more benefit is that the trekkers can still enjoy the meadows like before, with no changes in the itinerary there. The trekkers get proper time to soak in the beauty of the mountains, and even the campsites.

What makes the Dayara Bugyal trek special?

Dayara Bugyal trek is one of the most appreciated treks, and again for good reasons. Here is why it should be on your list:

  • You get to see the vast meadows stretching endlessly.
  • The panoramic himalayan views you get while you trek, are just too scenic.
  • You can spot major Himalayan peaks like Srikanth, Janoli, Gangotri and Draupadi ka Danda 2.
  • You stay with the friendly locals and can exchange cultural stories.
  • The sunrise and sunset views are just excellent.
  • It is beautiful throughout the year, in spring and summers the meadows are lush green and during the winters they are covered in snow.
  • The night sky here is peaceful and amazing for night pictures.

Dayara Bugyal is an easy grade trek, and the ideal time to do this trek is during the Spring, Autumn, Summer and Winters. To sum up, this is a great chance for you to experience one of the best treks in the Himalayas within 5 days. Also, if you have already booked the trek, don’t worry. Our team will share the updated itinerary with you.

We look forward to trekking with you soon in the meadows of Dayara!
