Buran Ghati Pass Trek
For those seeking a challenge, a trek to Buran Ghati Pass in Himachal is ideal. The changing scenery throughout the trek offers incredible views at various points along the trail. With culturally rich villages, natural beauty, and exciting pass-crossing, adventure enthusiasts will be thoroughly impressed. This moderately difficult trek will take you to an altitude of 15,000 feet.
The journey begins in the quaint village of Janglik, where we prioritize the well-being and preparedness of every trekker. Before setting off, a comprehensive health check ensures everyone is fit for the journey. Our experienced guides conduct a detailed briefing session, sharing insights about the trail, safety protocols, weather conditions, and upcoming challenges. This ensures that everyone is mentally prepared and equipped for the trek.
Leaving Janglik behind, a thrilling challenge of a bouldered section tests our agility, but the rewards are remarkable. Upon arrival, Dayara Thach welcomes us with vast green meadows adorned with wildflowers in full bloom. It is a perfect setting for relaxation.
The beautiful Chandranahan Lake is a sight to behold with its crystal-clear waters. Frozen during winter, the lake gradually unveils itself as the snow melts. The serene surroundings make it an ideal spot for rejuvenation.
During the traverse from Litham to Dhunda, a heart-pounding river crossing awaits. Holding each other's hand in a human chain, we navigate the freezing stream, fueled by the rush of adrenaline.
But the most exciting experience still remains—the summit push under the cover of darkness. Ascending during the nighttime provides a rare opportunity to witness the mountains differently. Guided by headlamps, we navigate the rugged terrain, captivated by the stillness of the night.
After enduring steep ascents and challenging terrain, reaching the summit is the culmination of your journey. As you crest the ridge and set foot on the pass, a panoramic view unfolds, showcasing the majestic mountains stretching as far as the eye can see. The scene leaves you humbled and in awe of nature's grandeur.
Rappelling down the pass and the snow-covered slopes adds a thrilling and fun-filled farewell to the trek. With proper safety gear and expert guidance, you'll control your descent, witnessing the dramatic cliffs and rugged beauty of the surroundings. Sliding down the pass brings a sense of freedom and joy as you connect with your inner adventurer.
Throughout this trek, you'll discover the incredible power and serenity of the mountains. The Buran Ghati Pass expedition is a whirlwind of adventure, challenges, and breathtaking beauty that leaves an indelible mark on your heart.
Rupin Pass Trek
The magnificence of the Himalayas is beyond compare and Rupin Pass serves as a splendid example of this. This trek is a breathtaking experience where the beauty of nature will leave you in awe. The trek offers a continuous stream of stunning vistas, each one appearing suddenly, giving you a delightful surprise.
Along the trek, you will come across numerous cascading waterfalls and many beautiful mountain streams. The best waterfall sighting is at Rupin Valley, where you will come across hundreds of waterfalls surging down from the mountain to the valley below. The trail provides a glimpse of the Rupin River cascading beautifully over the valley floor, and then you'll find yourself amidst a dense forest of pine trees, inhaling the sweet scent of pine.
As you trek, you'll encounter stunning scenery, from lush meadows and charming mountain villages to a unique hanging village and snow bridges, all leading up to a thrilling pass crossing with captivating mountain panoramas. The beautiful campsites, invigorating mountain air, and captivating views make Rupin Pass an unforgettable experience.
A special note
Please keep in mind that the Buran Ghati Pass and the Rupin Pass Treks are not available only in the summer months. Please note that these treks are not conducted during the monsoon season, in accordance with the regulations set by the State Government of Himachal Pradesh. Specifically, after September 15, no high-altitude treks in Himachal Pradesh are permitted.
It's essential to highlight that the beauty of both the Buran Ghati Pass and Rupin Pass treks is significantly enhanced by the presence of snow in the higher trails and camps. Without the snow cover, the landscape loses its enchanting charm, and the full adventure of these treks may not be accessible. Moreover, the absence of snow can render the terrain more precarious, with increased boulders and slippery trails.
Therefore, we encourage you to secure your booking for the Buran Ghati and Rupin Pass treks as soon as possible. With only a few slots remaining, this is your chance to embark on these extraordinary summer adventures amidst the stunning landscapes of the Himalayas.
Whether it's the exhilarating trails of Rupin Pass or the challenge and thrill of Buran Pass, the Himalayas offer exquisite beauty and adventure that captures the essence of summertime exploration. It is a time to immerse oneself in the raw grandeur of nature, to witness the vibrant hues of wildflowers, to feel the exhilaration of conquering mountain passes, and to connect with local cultures that have thrived amidst these awe-inspiring landscapes for centuries.
