The lake is surrounded by towering peaks and sits in the middle of Oak covers. In winter, the entire scenery becomes a mesmerizing canvas of white with the lake frozen completely. It is a surreal sight to behold.

The Journey at a Glance

The journey begins in Lohajung, a quaint Himalayan village. We start from the holy city of Rishikesh and continue our journey on winding mountain roads and stunning Himalayan vistas. Lohajung marks the starting point of our winter adventure.

From Lohajung, you head towards Gujreni through snow-covered forest paths, slowly gaining altitude. Soon we reach the quaint village of Gujreni, your first campsite. Experience the pristine winter wilderness. Here on, trekking through snow-covered terrain we head towards Tilandi. Tilandi is a beautiful campsite with snow-covered meadows and a peaceful winter ambiance. Further ascent through snow-covered meadows and forests will take you to the highlight of the trek - the Brahmatal Lake.  The stunning Brahmatal Lake is encircled by towering peaks, and you can basking in the glory of a Himalayan winter. 

From Brahmatal Lake, ascending to the Brahmatal Summit involves steep, challenging terrain with deep snow. Weather can change rapidly. The summit provides panoramic views of Himalayan peaks, including Trishul and Nanda Ghunti, and a sense of sheer accomplishment. We then return to Lohajung in a celebratory mood having completed the trek. It’s again a beautiful return journey to Rishikesh, this time with loads of mountain memories.
