Trek Weather Update, October 7, 2025

Due to the sudden, unexpected rain, there have been some changes in the recent schedule of our trek batches.

For your information, we have provided a comprehensive update on the current status of all treks and batches. So, now you don’t have to worry about tracking the weather situation.

We are here to keep you updated at every step. Just trust Trek The Himalayas to guide your journey, whatever the skies may hold!

UTTARAKHAND TREKS

Gaumukh Tapovan

Our Gaumukh Tapovan Trek is experiencing rainy weather today. Due to a sudden weather change, there has been a development in the trek's progress. So far—

  • Unfortunately, our 3rd October batch is coming back to the Gangotri campsite due to sudden bad weather and continuous rainfall. The Forest Department has asked them to return, as a high alert has been issued in that area.
  • As for the 4th October batch, they are still staying at Chirbasa.
  • Now, the remaining 5th October batch will be staying at Gangotri only. As authorities have not permitted trekking in that region for now.

Chopta Chandrashila with Deoriatal

The current weather at our Chopta Chandrashila Trek is better for trekkers to enjoy the trail of Chopta.

  • All our previous batches are running as per schedule.
  • As for our 5th October batch, it is on schedule, and it is now moving from Deoria Tal to Tala Village and driving to Baniyakund.
  • Good news for all the trekkers: all the roads from Rishikesh to Sari Village are now open all the way for travelers.

Phulara Ridge Trek

Earlier, the batches of phulara were going smoothly. But due to the change in weather, the batches are coming back to Dehradun. As the forest has suspended the permit to trek till 8th October.

Note: All our upcoming batches for the Phulara Ridge are running as per schedule. If there are any changes in the schedule of the trek, you will be informed by the TTH team.

Dayara Bugyal Trek

The weather conditions in the Dayara region are now stable, and now, the trekkers can continue to enjoy the breezy weather on the trails.

  • The 5th October batch is running smoothly and is on schedule, moving towards the summit from the Gui campsite. As they are not camping at Chilapada.

Bali Pass Trek

The Bali Pass Trek is experiencing pleasant weather today. Trekkers will have a good time while trekking on the trail there.

  • All the previous batches are running on schedule.
  • As for the route, all the roads are open now.
  • On October 5th - 12th, they are on the Day-3 schedule, moving from Seema Campsite to Devsu Bugyal.

Other than that, everything is on schedule. All trekkers need to do is pack the essentials and be ready for the mountains.

Satopanth Lake Trek

Last we knew, due to the trekking restrictions in the Satopanth Lake trek region, the route of the trek had been diverted to the Winter Kuari Pass trek.

  • But now, the 5th October batch has been diverted towards the Winter Kuari Pass and is going to Badrinath today.
  • Our upcoming 19th October batch is as per the schedule. If there are any changes in the schedule, the TTH team will let you know.
North East Treks

Goechala Trek

In our Goechala Trek, trekkers are experiencing sunny weather, which is perfect to continue their trek further.

  • Since the weather in Sikkim is now bright and sunny, all our treks are going as per schedule without facing any hurdles.
  • Our previous two batches, 3rd October and 4th October, are moving as per schedule.
  • The 3rd October batch trek is at the same campsite for now. Today, they are scheduled for Acclimatization Day at Dzongri.
  • The 4th October batch has now moved from Tsokha to Dzongri via Phedang.
  • Speaking of routes, the NH 10 has been opened now, and from now on, vehicles can go directly.
  • As for our 5th October-15th October batch, they are on schedule and are moving towards Tshokha via Bakhim.

Sandakphu Trek

In our Sandakphu Trek, now trekkers can witness bright and sunny weather as the conditions are stable.

  • The 5th October batch is running one day late. The group reached the base camp safely yesterday.
  • Today, the 5th October - 11th October batch has moved from Sepi Basecamp to Samanden.
  • As for all the previous batches, they are all running as per the schedule.
  • Our 2nd-8th October batch has already visited Sandakphu, and while descending today, they will reach the Timburey camp.
  • Speaking of routes, the Sukhia Pokhari Road is off for now, and vehicles are going via Darjeeling.

HIMACHAL PRADESH TREKS

Rupin Pass Trek

  • The weather on the Rupin trek is now rainy and has experienced the first snowfall of this season.

Note: The Upper Waterfall, Dandreyash Thatch, and Saruwas Thatch in the Jakha site region have witnessed the very first snowfall of this season.

  • The 3rd October batch of ours is now descending from Dandreyash Thatch to Jakha.
  • As for the 4th October batch, they are now returning from Saruwas Thatch to Jakha due to sudden snowfall.
  • Last of all, our 5th October trek, they are moving forward in their trek and are going from Jakha to Saruwas Thatch today.

Buran Ghati Trek

Till yesterday, all the treks were on schedule, but now, due to a sudden flip in weather conditions, the trek schedule has been changed. So, here are the updates:

Note: All the regions are like Lithum, Dayara Thatch, and Janglik. They all have witnessed the first snowfall of the season.

  • The 3rd October batch has now descended from Lithium already.
  • The 4th October batch is now coming back from the Dayara Thatch.
  • As for the 5th of October, they are now moving from Janglik.

NEPAL TREKS

After continuous spells of rain for the last few days, the routes of the treks were affected, causing temporary blockage, but the weather has finally cleared up.

The skies are all bright, the weather is pleasant, and all the routes are accessible again to continue your trekking journey in the region of Nepal.

Everest Base Camp

Due to the rainy weather, the batches faced a few hurdles, but the good news is that all the treks are on schedule. Speaking of—

  • The 3rd October - 15th October batch did face a sudden weather change situation, but at last, they are moving on schedule and will be able to complete their trek safely.
  • They have moved from Phakding to Namche Bazaar.
  • As for the 4th and 5th October batches, they are running a little behind schedule and have reached Lukla this morning.
  • Now they are on the trek journey to Phakding.
  • All the upcoming batches are as per schedule; there are no changes in the schedule yet.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek

  • The weather in that region is said to be pleasant for now. Trekkers are advised to pack the essentials accordingly.
  • For now, the authorities have opened all the roads for trekkers.
  • Now, the batch of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of October is on schedule.
  • The 3rd October batch is currently moving from Bamboo to Deurali.
  • The 4th October batch is running 1 day late from the scheduled date. The batch is currently moving from Ghandruk to Chhomrong.
  • The 5th October batch is going smoothly on schedule. As they have now moved from the Ghandruk site to Chhomrong.

Other than this, we will keep updating you further if there is any change in the route in the future.

Khopra Ridge Trek

  • The weather in Khopra Ridge is pleasant for now, and the current batch is 1 day behind the scheduled day.
  • The current batch of Khopra Ridge, 4th to 12th Oct, is trekking from Ghandruk to Tadapani.
  • The route for the Khopra Ridge is now all open for trekkers. Trekkers can enjoy the trek without experiencing any hurdles.

Everest Base Camp Via Gokyo RI

  • The weather in Everest Base Camp is quite pleasant for trekkers.
  • The batch from 5th to 21st October is running smoothly and as scheduled.
  • The batch reached Lukla this morning, and now they are on their trekking journey to Phakding.

Manaslu Circuit Trek

  • The weather in the Manaslu region is very pleasant for now. Perfect for trekkers to enjoy the easy trail while trekking.
  • The 4th to 17th October batch has moved from Machhakhola to Jagat.
