31st January, 2026 - Trek Update: New Batch of Kuari Pass, Nag Tibba, and Sandakphu has begun

In the past week, a lot of trekkers got an opportunity to experience fresh snowfall while being on the trek, and that snowfall has created hope, curiosity, as well as enthusiasm among the trekkers. Hence, trekkers must start planning their trekking trip, but only after being absolutely prepared to walk on the snowy path, whatever the weather conditions are in their respective trekking regions.

INDIA TREKS UPDATE

  • Uttarakhand Treks

Winter Kuari Pass Trek

The weather in the Kuari Pass base camp (Pipalkoti) is all bright and sunny today.

As for the trek update -

  • The 28th January batch is on day 4 of their schedule, and today they will move from Tali Forest Camp to Kuari Pass and back via Khullara Top.
  • The 30th January batch is on day 2 of their schedule, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Gulling Top.
  • A new batch of Kuari Pass began on 31st January, and today they will move from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.

Chopta Chandrashila with Deoriatal (5 days)

The weather in Sari, on the Chopta Chandrashila Trek, has turned once again, and today it’s completely sunny.

As for the batch update -

  • The 28th January batch is on day 4 of their schedule, and today they will move from Baniyakund to Chopta and trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila and return.

Chopta Chandrashila 3 days Trek

The weather in Baniyakund, in the Chopta Chandrashila, is completely sunny today.

As for the batch update -

  • The 30th January Chopta 3-day batch is on day 2 of their schedule, and today they will move from Baniyakund to Chopta and trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila, and return.

Nag Tibba Weekend Trek

The weather in Pantwari, which is the Nag Tibba base camp, is completely sunny today.

As for the batch update -

  • A new batch of Nag Tibba has begun on 31st January, and today they will be driving from Dehradun to Pantwari and trek to Camp 1.

Kedarkantha Trek

The weather in the Kedarkantha base camp Sankri, is sunny today.

Regarding the batch update —

  • The 26th January batch is on day 5 of their schedule, and today they will move from Hargaon camp to Sankri.
  • The 27th January batch is on day 4 of their schedule, and today they will move from Kedarkantha Base to Kedarkantha peak, descend to Hargaon Camp.
  • The 28th January batch is on day 3 of their schedule, and today they will move from Juda-Ka-Talab to Kedarkantha Base.

Brahmatal Trek

The weather in the Brahmatal base camp (Lohajung) is all bright and sunny for now.

As for the batch update -

  • The 27th January batch is on day 4 of their schedule, and now they will move from Tilandi to Brahmatal via Jhandi Top and Brahmatal Summit.
  • The 30th January batch is on day 2 of their schedule, and today they will move from Lohajung to Gujreni.

Sandakphu Trek

The weather in Sepi, the base camp of the Sandakphu Trek, remains sunny.

As for the batch update—

  • The 25th January batch is on the last day of their schedule, and today they will move from Timburey to Srikhola and drive to NJP.
  • The 27th January batch is on day 5 of their schedule, and today they will move from Thokum to Aal.
  • A new batch of Sandakphu has begun on 31st January, and today they will be driving from NJP to Sepi.
