24th January, 2026 - Trek Update: New Batches Begins of Dayara, Kedarkantha & Kuari Pass

With a renewed enthusiasm, fresh batches have embarked on various treks. The news of snowfall in the mountains of Uttarakhand has created widespread buzz among trekking enthusiasts. Today, however, the weather is to remain largely sunny in different regions. But when it comes to the Himalayas, unpredictability is always there and you never know when the weather overturns.

We are closely monitoring the weather conditions, and our team is continuously apprising us about the latest updates and forecasts. Here is our latest weather information across all the treks:

INDIA TREKS UPDATE

  • Uttarakhand Treks

Winter Kuari Pass Trek

The weather in Kuari Pass is sunny again, but the trail in higher altitudes is still covered by snow. Besides, two new batches have started today.

  • The 19th January batch is on the last day of their schedule, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.
  • The 20th January batch is on day 5 of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Tali Forest Camp - Pipalkoti via Gurson Bugyal and Auli.
  • The 21st January batch is on day 4 of their schedule, and today they will move from Tali Forest Camp to Kuari Pass and back via Khullara Top.
  • A new batch, Kuari Pass Trek 01, started on 24th Jan 26 has moved from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.
  • Another fresh batch, Kuari Pass Trek A, started on 24th Jan 26 has moved from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.

Chopta Chandrashila with Deoriatal

The weather in Sari, on the Chopta Chandrashila Trek, has turned Sunny today. As for the batch update -

  • The 19th January batch is on the last day and it will drive to Rishikesh.
  • The 23rd Jan 2026 (5 Day) batch is on its 2nd day and it will move from Sari to Alpine Lake Deoriatal.
  • The 23rd Jan 2026 (3 Day) batch is on its 2nd day and it will move from Sari to Alpine Lake Deoriatal.
  • Another new (3 Day) batch to Chopta Chandrashila started on 24th Jan 26, has moved from Rishikesh to Sari Village.

Dayara Bugyal Trek

The weather conditions on the Dayara Bugyal trek have completely changed again and turned sunny. As for the batch update -

  • The 21st January batch is on its last day and it will move from Nayata to Natin village and drive to Dehradun.
  • The 22nd January batch is on day 3 and it will move from Gui to Chilapada.
  • A fresh batch has started on 24th Jan 26, and it will move from Dehradun to Natin village.

Kedarkantha Trek

The Kedarkantha Trek is cloudy and trails are still covered with snow. Regarding the batches—

  • The 19th January batch is on day 5 of their schedule, and today they will move from Hargaon Camp to Sankri.
  • The 21st January batch is on day 4 of their schedule, and today they will move from Kedarkantha base to Kedarkantha peak, Descend to Hargaon camp.
  • A new batch started on 24th Jan 26, and moved from Dehradun to Sankri.

Brahmatal Trek

The weather in the Brahmatal Trek region has turned sunny again, however it can flip in the coming days. As for the batch update -

  • The 23rd batch is on its 2nd day and it will move from Lohajung to Gujreni.
  • A fresh batch has started on 24th Jan 2026 and it will drive from Rishikesh to Lohajung.

Gulabi Kantha Trek

The weather on Gulabi Kantha trek is mostly sunny. Due to yesterday’s snowfall, the trails will remain covered by snow.

  • A new batch, Gulabi Kantha Trek 01, started on 24th Jan 26 has moved from Dehradun to Hanuman Chatti.
  • Another fresh batch, Gulabi Kantha Trek A, started on 24th Jan 26 has moved from Dehradun to Hanuman Chatti.

Nag Tibba Trek

The weather in Dehradun and in Nag Tibba Trek is sunny today. A new batch to Nag Tibba has embarked on 24th Jan 26.

Sandakphu Trek

The weather in Sepi, the base camp of the Sandakphu Trek, continues to remain sunny. As for the batch update—

  • The 19th January batch is on the last day of their schedule, and today they will move from Timburey to Srikhola And Drive to NJP.
  • A new batch has started on 24th Jan 26 and it will drive from NJP to Sepi.
