21st March Weather Update: Sunny Weather Across All Treks, but it’s raining at Sandakphu, Annapurna, and Everest Base Camp Trek

The Himalayas are once again experiencing mixed weather conditions as the season transitions. Today, all the trekking regions are experiencing sunny weather, except for the Sandakphu, Annapurna Base Camp, and Everest Base Camp treks, where it is raining.

Trekkers are advised to carry proper gear and proper layers of clothes, and before leaving for their trek, they should ask their respective trek leader about the same.

That said, till now, all the batches have been going quite smoothly without encountering any problems. Just remember to stay updated with local weather forecasts, as conditions might change quickly. If there are any changes, we will keep you updated.

As for the weather on various prominent trekking trails, here is today’s forecast:

INDIA TREKS UPDATE

  • Uttarakhand Treks

Winter Kuari Pass Trek

The weather in the Kuari Pass base camp (Pipalkoti) is sunny today. As for the batch update -

  • The 16th March batch is on the last day and will move from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.
  • A new batch of the trek began on 21st March and will move from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.

Chopta Chandrashila Trek

The weather in the Chopta base camp (Sari) is now sunny. As for the batch updates -

  • The 20th March batch is on the 2nd day and will move from Sari to Deoriatal.
  • A new batch began on 21st March and will move from Rishikesh to Sari Village.

Chopta Chandrashila 3 Day Trek

The weather in the Chopta base camp (Baniyakund) is cloudy. As for the batch updates -

  • The 20th March batch is on the 2nd day and will trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila and return.

Brahmatal Trek

The weather at the base camp (Lohajung) is sunny. As for the batch update -

  • The 16th March batch is on the last day and will move to Rishikesh.
  • The 20th March batch is on the 2nd day and will move from Lohajung to Gujreni.
  • A new batch began on 21st March and will move from Rishikesh to Lohajung.

Pangarchulla Trek

The weather in Pipalkoti is sunny. As for the trek updates -

  • The 15th March batch is on the last day and will move to Rishikesh.
  • The 16th March batches will trek from Khullara Camp to Tugasi Village.
  • New batches began on 21st March and will move from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.

Dayara Bugyal Trek

The weather at Natin is sunny. As for the batch update -

  • A new batch began on 21st March and will move from Dehradun to Natin Village.

Goechala Trek

The weather at Yuksom is sunny. As for the batch update -

  • A new batch began on 21st March and will move from NJP to Yuksom.

Nag Tibba Trek

The weather at Pantwari is sunny. As for the batch update -

  • A new batch began on 21st March and will move from Dehradun to Pantwari.
  • North-East Treks

Sandakphu Trek

The weather at Sepi is rainy. As for the batch updates -

  • The 15th March batch will move from Timburey to Srikhola.
  • The 16th March batch will move from Aal to Timburey via Sandakphu.
  • A new batch began on 21st March and will move from NJP to Sepi.


  • Nepal Treks

Annapurna Base Camp Trek

The weather is rainy. As for the batch update -

  • The 13th March batch will move from Jhinnu to Pokhara.

Everest Base Camp Trek

The weather is rainy with slight snowfall at higher camps. As for the batch updates -

  • The 14th March batch will move from Dingboche to Lobuche.
  • The 15th March batch will rest at Dingboche.
  • The 16th March batch will move from Tengboche to Dingboche.

With mixed weather across all trekking regions, trekkers should stay prepared for sudden changes. Currently, all batches are running smoothly.
