The arrival of monsoon is showing its indication, so overcast conditions are expected to persist for a few days. In some higher-altitude areas, rain may become more intense during the afternoon and evening.

Trekkers need to be prepared as mountain weather can shift suddenly, with temperatures to remain cool consistently. Waterproof clothing, rain covers for backpacks, trekking poles, and sturdy footwear with good grip are strongly recommended.

HIMACHAL TREKS UPDATE

Chandrakhani Pass Trek

The weather at the Chandrakhani Pass Trek base camp (Manali) continues to be cloudy today. As for the batch update:

• The 28th June batch is on the 5th (last) day of their schedule, and today they will trek from Naya Tapru to Rumsu and Drive Back to Manali.

Hampta Pass Trek

The weather at the Hampta Pass base camp (Manali) is cloudy again. As for the batches:

• The three batches of 28th June are on the 5th day of their trek schedule, and today they will drive from Chatru to Manali.
• The three batches of 29th June are on the 4th day of their trek schedule, and today they will trek from Shea Goru to Chatru and drive to Chandratal.
• The three batches of 30th June are on the 3rd day, and today they will trek from Balu Ka Ghera to Shea Goru via Hampta Pass.
• The batch of 1st July is on its second day, and today, they will trek from Chhika to Balu Ka Ghera.
• A new batch of Hampta Pass began on 2nd July, and today they will drive from Manali to Jobra and then trek from Jobra to Chhika.

With the arrival of monsoons, the Himalayas are expected to offer renewed and vibrant landscapes. Trekkers are definitely going to enjoy the season ahead. However, it is also advisable to closely follow the guidance of trek leaders, stay updated with local weather forecasts, and remain flexible.
