14th March Weather Update: Mixed Weather Conditions Across Himalayan Trekking Routes

The Himalayas are once again experiencing mixed weather conditions as the season transitions. Some of the treks are witnessing relatively clear mornings with mild temperatures; other trails, on the other hand, have thick cloud covers. Higher elevations are likely to receive thunder showers.

Trekkers are advised to begin their hikes early and carry proper waterproofing gear. That said, the overall trekking is comfortable and scenic, with panoramic snow-clad over summits. More importantly, trekkers need to stay updated with local weather forecasts as conditions might change quickly.

As for weather on various prominent trekking trails, here is today’s forecast:

INDIA TREKS UPDATE

1. Uttarakhand Treks

Winter Kuari Pass Trek

Today, the weather in the Kuari Pass base camp (Pipalkoti) is all sunny. As for the batch update -

• The 13th March batch is on its second day, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Gulling Top.



Chopta Chandrashila Trek

Today, the weather in the Chopta base camp (Sari) has again turned cloudy. As for the batch updates -

• The 13th March batch is on its second day, and today they will move from Sari to Alpine Lake Deoriatal.





Chopta Chandrashila 3 Day Trek

The weather in Sari, base camp for Chopta Chandrashila, is cloudy. Info regarding batch updates:

• A new batch has started on 14th March and today, it will move from Rishikesh to Baniyakund.



Brahmatal Trek

The weather at the base camp, Lohajung, is all Sunny today as well. As for the batch update -

• The 13th March batch is on its second day, and today they will move from Lohajung to Gujreni.



Dayara Bugyal Trek

The weather of Dayara Bugyal has become cloudy today. As for the trek updates -

• The 13th March batch is on its second day, and today they will move from Natin to Gui.



Pangarchulla Trek

The weather of Pipalkoti, the base camp for the Pangarchulla trek, is all bright and sunny. As for the trek updates -

• The 13th March batch is on its second day, and today they will drive from Pipalkoti to Tugasi village and Trek to Gulling Top.
• A new batch (Pangarchulla Trek 01) has started on 14th March, and today they will drive from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.
• One more batch (Pangarchulla Trek A) has started on 14th March, and today they will drive from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.


2. North-East Treks

Sandakphu Trek

The weather at Sepi, Sandakphu Base Camp, is now all bright and sunny. As for the batch updates -

• A new batch of Sandakphu has begun on 13th March, and today they will drive from NJP to Sepi.
