Weather conditions across several Himalayan trekking regions are showing brighter, mostly sunny spells, making them ideal for trekking. Hampta Pass and Pin Bhaba are also seeing periods of sunshine, while trekking batches continue to operate.

August remains part of the monsoon season, so conditions can change rapidly. Even on mostly sunny days, trekkers should expect afternoon cloud build-up, occasional showers, mist, and wet or slippery trail sections.

As per the latest reports, here’s how the weather looks today across the Himalayan trekking regions:

UTTARAKHAND TREKS UPDATE

Valley of Flowers Trek

The weather at the Valley of Flowers base camp (Pipalkoti) is cloudy today. As for the batches:

• The batch of 19th August is on its 6th day, and today, they will drive from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.
• The batch of 20th August is on its 5th day, and today, they will trek from Ghangaria to Govindghat and Drive to Pipalkoti (Badrinath optional)
• The batch of 22nd August is on its 3rd day, and today, they will trek from Ghangaria to Valley of Flower and back to Ghangaria.
• The two batches of 23 August are on their second day, and today, they will drive from Pipalkoti to Govindghat-Pulna and trek to Ghangaria.
• The customized batch of 23rd August is on its second day, and today, they will drive from Pipalkoti to Govindghat-Pulna and trek to Ghangaria.
• Two new batches started for Valley of Flowers on 24th August, and today, they will drive from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.

HIMACHAL TREKS UPDATE

Hampta Pass Trek

The weather at the Hampta Pass base camp (Manali) continues to be sunny today. As for the batches:

• The 21st August batch is on the 4th day of their trek schedule, and today they will trek from Shea Goru to Chatru and Drive to Chandratal and back.
• The 22nd August batch is on its 3rd day, and today, they will Trek from Balu Ka Ghera to Shea Goru via Hampta Pass
• The batch of 23 August is on its second day, and today, they will Trek from Chhika to Balu Ka Ghera.
• Two new batches are headed for the Hampta Pass Trek on 24 August, and today, they will drive from Manali to Jobra and Trek from Jobra to Chhika.

Pin Bhaba Trek

The weather at the Pin Bhaba Pass base camp (Kafnu) is sunny today. As for the batches:

• The 17th August batch is on the 8th day of their trek schedule, and today they will drive from Kaza to Manali.
• The batch of 23rd August is on its second day, and today, it will trek from Kafnu to Mulling.
• A new batch has set off to Pin Bhaba Pass on 24th August, and today, they will drive from Shimla to Kafnu.

Pin Parvati Trek

The weather at the Pin Parvati base camp (Manali) is sunny today. As for the batches:

• The 15th August batch is on the 10th day of their trek schedule, and today they will trek from Tiya to Mud and drive to Kaza.

Bhrigu Lake Trek

The weather at Gulaba, the base camp of Bhrigu Lake trek, is sunny. As for the batches:

• The 22nd August batch is on its 3rd day, and today, they will trek from Rola Kholi to Bhrigu Lake and back to Rola Kholi.

Yunam Peak expedition

The weather at the base camp of the Yunam Peak trek, Manali, continues to be sunny today. As for the batches:

• The 23rd August batch is on its second day, and today, they will trek from Manali to Keylong/Jispa.

LEH - LADAKH EXPEDITION TREK

The weather across the Leh-Ladakh trekking route has clear blue skies, particularly in the Markha Valley region.

We firmly advise all the trekkers to keep a close watch on local weather updates and stay prepared for sudden changes in weather conditions.

Kang Yatse 2 Peak Expedition

The weather in the Markha Valley continues to offer clear blue skies, while at the Kang Yatse 2 Peak Expedition base camp, it is cloudy. As for the batch update:

• The 15th August batch with 15 climbers is on the 10th day of their trek schedule, and today, they will trek from Base Camp to Chokdo via Kongmaru La & drive to Leh.

Dzo Jongo East Peak With Markha Valley Trek

The weather in the Markha Valley region is showing clear, blue skies today. As for the batches:

• The 22nd August batch to Markha Valley and Dzo Jongo East Expedition, with 9 trekkers and 8 climbers, is on their 3rd day. Today, they will drive from Leh to Skiu, then trek to Sara.

TANZANIA AFRICA UPDATE (Overseas Trek)

Across the Kilimanjaro trekking route, trekkers continue their journey today as the trek progresses smoothly. The Kilimanjaro Peak Expedition has successfully concluded. Our trekkers have completed this incredible journey to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and are now beginning their return journey.

Mount Kilimanjaro Trek

The weather in Moshi on the Kilimanjaro trek is dry and sunny today. As for the batch update:

• The 16th August batch is on the 9th day of their trek schedule, and today is the departure day, and they will move from Moshi to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

The Himalayas remain beautiful and lush under the monsoon cloud cover, but trekking conditions require flexibility and preparation.
