17th March Weather Update: The Weather is All Sunny Except in Pangarchulla, Kedarkantha and Kuari Pass

The Himalayas are once again experiencing mixed weather conditions as the season transitions. Today, some trekking regions are experiencing sunny weather while some are witnessing the sky being all cloudy.

So, trekkers are advised to carry proper gears and proper layers of clothes. Before leaving for their trek it’s better they ask their respective trek leader about the same. That said, the overall trekking is comfortable and scenic, with panoramic peaks over summits.

Just remember that it’s important, you keep yourself updated with local weather forecasts as conditions might change quickly.

• Uttarakhand Treks

Winter Kuari Pass Trek

The weather in the Kuari Pass base camp (Pipalkoti) has turned all cloudy today. As for the batch update -

• The 13th March batch is on the 5th day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Tali Forest Camp - Pipalkoti via Gurson Bugyal and Auli.
• The 15th March batch is on the 3rd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Gulling Top to Tali Forest Camp.
• The 16th March batch is on 2nd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Gulling Top.

Chopta Chandrashila Trek

Today, the weather in the Chopta base camp (Sari) has again turned all bright and sunny. As for the batch updates -

• The 13th March batch is on the last day of the trek, and today they will drive back to Rishikesh.
• The 15th March batch is on the 3rd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Deoria Tal to Tala Village and drive to Baniyakund.
• The 16th March batch is on 2nd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Sari to Alpine Lake Deoriatal.

Brahmatal Trek

The weather at the base camp, Lohajung, is all Sunny today. As for the batch update -

• The 13th March batch is on its 5th day of the trek, and today they will move from Brahmatal to Lohajung.
• The 15th March batch is on the 3rd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Gujreni to Tilandi.
• The 16th March batch is on 2nd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Lohajung to Gujreni.

Dayara Bugyal Trek

The weather in Dayara Bugyal has become all bright and sunny today. As for the trek updates -

• The 13th March batch is on its last day of the trek, and today they will move from Nayata to Natin Village and drive to Dehradun.
• The 15th March batch is on the 3rd day of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Gui to Chilapada.

Pangarchulla Trek

Kedarkantha Trek

The weather of Sankri, the base camp of Kedarkantha trek has turned cloudy today. As for the trek updates -

• The 14th March is on the 4th day of their trek, and today they will move from Kedarkantha Base to Kedarkantha Peak, descend to Hargaon Camp.

Gulabi Kantha Trek

The weather of Hanuman Chatti the base camp for the Gulabi Kantha trek, is all bright and sunny today. As for the trek updates -

• The 15th March is on the 3rd day of their trek, and today they will move from Kandola Chhani to Seema Thatch.

Ali Bedni Bugyal Trek
