The weather in the mountain region has been clear consistently for a while, but it can also change very quickly. In the Himalayas, snowfall might happen anytime soon. So, being prepared before their trek is essential for every trekker.

Our sole purpose in curating this weather update is to make your journey easier and more predictable. It carries extensive information regarding weather conditions and the current status of all the treks and batches.

INDIA TREKS UPDATE

  • Uttarakhand Treks

Winter Kuari Pass Trek

The weather in Kuari Pass is all bright and clear today. Apart from that, new winter treks have started—

  • The 11th January batch is on the last day of their schedule, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.
  • The 12th January batch is on day 5 of their trek schedule, and today they will move from Tali forest camp - Pipalkoti via Gurson Bugyal and Auli.
  • The 15th January batch is on their day 2 schedule, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Gulling Top.

Chopta Chandrashila with Deoriatal (5 Days)

The weather in Sari, on the Chopta Chandrashila Trek, is all clear for now. As for the batch update -

  • The 15th January batch is on day 2 of their schedule, and today they will move from Sari to Alpine Lake Deoriatal.
Weather Update of 16-Jan-2026 by Trek The Himalayas

Chopta Chandrashila 3 Days Trek

The weather in Baniyakund is clear currently. As for the batch update -

  • The 15th January 3-day Chopta Chandrashila batch is on day 2 of their schedule, and today they will move from Baniyakund to Chopta (drive) and trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila and Return.

Chopta Chaandrashila 4 Days (Customize Trek)

A new customized batch of Chopta Chadrashila has begun on 16th January. It’s a 4-day trek, and currently, all trekkers will reach Lake Deoriatal to begin their journey.

Dayara Bugyal Trek

The weather conditions on the Dayara Bugyal trek are all clear. As for the batch update -

  • The 12th January batch is on the last day of their schedule, and today they will move from Nayata to Natin Village and drive to Dehradun.
  • The 14th January batch is on day 3 of their trek, and today they will move from Gui to Chilapada.

Kedarkantha Trek

The Kedarkantha Trek is experiencing clear weather throughout from the base camp, Sankri, to the summit. Regarding the batches—

  • A new batch of Kedarkantha has begun on 16th January, and today they will depart from Dehradun and will arrive at Sankri.

Brahmatal Trek

The weather in the Brahmatal Trek region is bright and clear now. As for the batch update -

  • The 11th January batch is on the last day of their schedule, and today they will move from Lohajung to Rishikesh.
  • A new batch of Brahmatal has begun on 16th January, and today they will depart from Rishikesh and arrive at Lohajung via drive.
  • North East Treks

Sandakphu Trek

The weather in Sepi, the base camp of the Sandakphu Trek, is currently clear. As for the batch update—

  • The 11th January batch of Sandakphu is on day 6 of their schedule, and today they will move from Aal to Timburey via Sandakphu.

SOUTH AFRICA TREK UPDATE

  • Tanzania - Mount Kilimanjaro Trek

The weather in Moshi is currently all clear, allowing trekkers to enjoy their trekking journey without any hurdles. Now, as for their trek update-

  • Currently, the 11th January batch is on day 6 of the schedule, and today they will move from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp.

Currently, the weather in all the regions is very bright and clear, but at times it can be unpredictable. So, you don’t have to worry, as if any changes do happen in the future, you will be the first one to be informed by the TTH team.
