10th April 2026 Weather Update: Himalayas are Experiencing Cloudy and Sunny Weather

Once again, the Himalayas are experiencing a huge change in their weather conditions. Yesterday, the treks which were experiencing rainy weather conditions are now either having cloudy weather today or it’s completely sunny there. Making it an ideal, pleasant weather to witness the mountains.

So, the trekkers who are about to go on the trek or have reached there are advised to carry light rain gear and be prepared for sudden changes, as mountain weather can be unpredictable. Although, irrespective of the change in weather conditions all the treks are running as per their schedule.

Here is today’s forecast on various trekking trails:

INDIA TREKS UPDATE

  • Uttarakhand Treks

Kuari Pass Trek

The weather in the Kuari Pass base camp (Pipalkoti) has completely changed and it’s sunny today. As for the batch update -

  • The two batches of 5th April are on the last day of their schedule, and today they will move from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.

Chopta Chandrashila Tungnath Trek with Deoriatal

Today, the weather in the Chopta base camp (Sari) has turned again, and trekkers are having sunny weather there. As for the batch updates -

  • The 6th April batch is on the 5th day of their schedule, and today they will drive to Rishikesh.
  • A new batch of Chopta Chandrashila has begun on 10th April, and today they will move from Rishikesh to Sari Village.

Pangarchulla Trek

The weather in Pipalkoti, the base camp of the Pangarchulla trek, is all sunny today. As for the trek updates:

  • The two batches of 4th April are on the last day of their trek, and today they will drive from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.
  • The two batches of 5th April are on the 6th day of their trek, and today they will trek from Khullara Camp to Tugasi Village and drive to Pipalkoti.
  • A new batch of Pangarchulla began on 10th April, and today they will move from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.

Dayara Bugyal Trek

The weather at the Dayara Bugyal trek base camp (Natin) is again sunny. As for the batch update -

  • The 5th April batch is on the 5th day of its trek, and today they will move from Nayata to Natin village and drive to Dehradun.
  • A new batch of Dayara Bugyal began on 10th April, and today they will move from Dehradun to Natin Village.

Ranthan Kharak Trek

The weather at the Ranthan Kharak base camp (Gogina) is all cloudy today. As for the batch update-

  • The 9th April batch is on the second day of its trek, and today they will trek from Gogina to Namik.

Har Ki Dun Trek

The weather at the Har Ki Dun trek base camp (Sankari) is all sunny today. As for the batch update—

  • The 5th April batch is on the 6th day of their trek, and today, they will move from Pauni Gharat to Dharkot and drive to Sankri.

Ali Bedni Bugyal Trek

The weather at the base camp (Lohajung) of Ali Bedni has turned sunny today. As for the batch update –

  • The 5th April batch is on the last day of their trek, and today they will move from Lohajung to Rishikesh.
  • North-East Trek

Goechala Trek

The weather at the Goechala base camp (Yuksom) is again cloudy today. As for the batch update -

  • The 3rd April batch is on the 8th day of their trek, and today they will move from Lamuney to Goechala via Samiti Lake back to Thansing/Kokchhurung.
  • The 4th April batch is on the 7th day of their trek, and today they will move from Thansing to Lamuney.

Sandakphu Trek

The weather at Sepi, the Sandakphu Base Camp, is all cloudy today. As for the batch updates -

  • The 4th April batch is on the 7th day of their trek, and today they will move from Timburey to Srikhola and drive to NJP Via Sepi.
  • The 5th April batch is on the 6th day of their trek, and today they will move from Aal to Timburey via Sandakphu.
  • The 6th April batch is on the 5th day of their trek, and today they will move from Thokum to Aal.
  • A new batch of Sandakphu began on 10th April, and today they will drive from NJP to Sepi.

To sum it up, it’s a great time to be in the mountains. A few trails are experiencing cloudy weather, but the rest are experiencing quite pleasant, sunny weather. In any case, trekkers are advised to carry light rain protection and layer appropriately, as the weather in the Himalayas can shift quickly.
