The weather across the trekking regions of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand remains mostly pleasant today. The weather ranges from sunny to cloudy across different trekking areas, with no rainfall reported at present.

All trekking batches are operating as scheduled. However, as weather in the mountains can change quickly during the monsoon season, trekkers are advised to carry all essential monsoon trekking gear and remain prepared for sudden changes in weather.

We recommend adding a few buffer days to your trekking itinerary and staying updated with the latest trek advisories. Here's the current status of all the ongoing trekking batches.

UTTARAKHAND TREKS UPDATE

Valley of Flowers Trek

The weather at the Valley of Flowers base camp (Pipalkoti) is a mix of sunshine and clouds today. As for the batches:

• Two batches of 3rd August are on the last day of their schedule, and today they will first reach Pipalkoti and then Rishikesh.
• Two batches of 4th August are on the 5th day of their schedule, and today they will reach Ghangaria to Govindghat and drive to Pipalkoti (Badrinath Optional).
• Two batches of 5th August are on the 4th day of their schedule, and today they will move from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and back to Ghangaria.
• The 6th August batch is on the 3rd day of their schedule, and today they will trek from Ghangaria to the Valley of Flowers and back to Ghangaria.
• The 7th August batch is on the 2nd day, and today they will drive from Pipalkoti to Govindghat-Pulna and Trek to Ghangaria.
• Two new batches of Valley of Flowers began on 8th August, and today they will drive from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.

HIMACHAL TREKS UPDATE

Hampta Pass Trek

The weather at the Hampta Pass base camp (Manali) has turned cloudy today. As for the batches:

• The 7th August batch is on the 2nd day of their trek schedule, and today they will drive from Chhika to Balu ka Ghera.
• A new batch of Hampta Pass began on 8th August, and today they will move from Manali to Jobra and trek from Jobra to Chhika.

Pin Bhaba Trek

The weather at the Pin Bhaba Pass base camp (Kafnu) has turned rainy today. As for the batches:

• The 1st August batch is on the last day of their trek schedule, and today they will drive from Kaza to Manali.
• The 2nd August batch is on the 7th day of their trek schedule, and today they will trek from Bwaldar to Mudh and drive to Kaza.
• A new batch of Pin Bhaba has begun on 8th August, and today they will drive from Shimla to Kafnu.

LEH-LADAKH EXPEDITION UPDATE

Across Leh–Ladakh, trekking routes are experiencing partly cloudy weather today. While the weather is currently stable, rain may be possible later in the day. Trekkers are advised to keep a close watch on local weather updates and stay prepared for any sudden changes.

Kang Yatse 2 Peak Expedition

The weather at the Kang Yatse 2 Peak Expedition is partly cloudy today. As for the batch update -

• The 1st August batch is on the 8th day of their trek schedule, and today they will have a rest and a training day.

Dzo Jongo East Peak With Markha Valley

The weather at the Dzo Jongo East Peak Trek is partly cloudy, but there is a chance it might drizzle later today. As for the batch update -

• The 1st August batch is on the 8th day of their trek schedule, and today they will have a rest day and then training too for the summit night.

• Cloudy and rainy weather is manageable with the right preparation, although extra caution is needed in the Himalayas.
