2nd February 2026, Trek Update: Sunny Weather Reigns Across the Himalayas Treks

The weather has turned from mixed spell to sunny again across most of the treks. Having said that, if reports are to be believed, rain or snowfall is predicted in high-altitude treks in a couple of days. So, the weather seems full of surprises ahead.

INDIA TREKS UPDATE

  • Uttarakhand Treks

Winter Kuari Pass Trek

The weather in the Kuari Pass base camp (Pipalkoti) is all bright and sunny today.

  • The 28th January batch is on their last day, so they will move from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh.
  • The 31st January batch is on its 3rd day, and it will move from Gulling Top to Tali Forest Camp.
  • A new batch of Kuari Pass began on 2nd February, and today they will move from Rishikesh to Pipalkoti.

Kedarkantha Trek

The weather in the Kedarkantha base camp Sankri, is sunny today.

  • The 28th January batch is on its last day and it will come back from Sankri to Dehradun.
  • A new batch to Kedarkantha has started today (02nd February), and it will move from Dehradun to Sankri.

Brahmatal Trek

The weather in the Brahmatal base camp (Lohajung) is all bright and sunny for now.

  • The 30th January batch is on day 4, and it will move from Tilandi to Brahmatal via Jhandi top and Brahmatal summit.
  • A new trek to Brahmatal has begun on 2nd February, and it will drive from Rishikesh to Lohajung.

Dayara Bugyal Trek

The weather in the Dayara Bugyal Trek is sunny.

  • A new batch has started on 2nd February, and it will move from Dehradun to Natin village.

Gulabi Kantha Trek

The weather in the Gulabi Kantha base camp, Hanuman Chatti is also sunny and will remain so throughout the day.

  • A new batch has started on 2nd February, and it will move from Dehradun to Hanuman Chatti.
  • North East Treks

Sandakphu Trek

The weather in Sepi, the base camp of the Sandakphu Trek, remains sunny.

  • The 27th January batch is on the last day of their schedule, and today they will move from Timburey to Srikhola and Drive to NJP Via Sepi.
