Why We Think Monsoon Is A Wonderful Time To Trek In Kashmir

Kashmir Treks

The striking display of natural beauty

Kashmir, often referred to as "Paradise on Earth," transforms into an ethereal wonderland during the monsoon season. The parched hills and valleys are painted in lush green hues as the rainfall breathes life into the flora and fauna. Trekking through the verdant meadows of Pahalgam, Sonamarg, or Gulmarg allows you to immerse yourself in the picturesque beauty of nature's bounty.

The mystical aura of the mist-covered mountains

One of the most captivating aspects of trekking in Kashmir during the monsoon season is the ethereal mist that blankets the mountains. As you ascend the trails, you'll find yourself immersed in a mystical ambience, with swirling mist veiling the valleys and peaks. The popular treks to Tarsar Marsar and others become even more enchanting as the mist adds an element of mystery and intrigue.

The all-engulfing serenity of the lakes

Kashmir is renowned for its picturesque lakes, and the monsoon season adds an extra layer of tranquillity to these pristine water bodies. Trekking the lakes in Bodhpathri, or the serene Tarsar-Marsar Lake during the monsoon allows you to witness the dance of raindrops on the tranquil waters, creating a serene atmosphere that is perfect for introspection and rejuvenation.
