Drastic Change in Landscape: One of the most exciting parts of the trek is the shift in scenery. You begin in the lush, green Bhaba Valley, filled with wildflowers, meadows, and rivers. As you cross the pass, you enter the barren yet beautiful Pin Valley in Spiti. The sudden change, from greenery to dry, colorful mountains, is truly an amazing experience.

Stunning Views All Along: The trek offers amazing views at every step. Whether you're walking through forests, meadows, or rocky terrains, you'll often find yourself pausing just to admire the beauty around you. It feels like every turn has a postcard-perfect view.

Scenic Campsites: many treks that have only one or two beautiful campsites, this trek has gorgeous campsites throughout the journey. Most camps in Bhaba Valley are beside rivers, and one is even near a lake. Imagine sleeping under the stars with rivers, mountains, and green meadows around you, it’s pure magic.

Challenging Summit Day: The day you cross the Pin Bhaba Pass is the toughest but also an amazing and experiencing day. You start early in the morning and trek till evening. It's a long, tiring day, but reaching the pass and seeing the vast Spiti Valley on the other side is worth every step.

Fun Stream Crossings: 'll cross several water streams on this trek. Some are small, while others are fast and wide. Trek leaders help guide you across safely. It’s an adventurous and fun part of the experience, especially for those who love a little thrill.

Local Culture and Villages: The trek starts from Kafnu, a quiet village known for its apple and pomegranate orchards. It ends at Mudh village in Spiti, where the friendly locals welcome you with smiles. You get a glimpse of the traditional mountain life, adding a cultural touch to your journey and giving you a beautiful experience of trekking in India.

How to reach the Base Camp- Kafnu

how to reach pin bhaba pass trek base camp- kafnu

Kafnu is the base camp for the Pin Bhabha Pass Trek. It is located in Himachal Pradesh, around 200 km from Shimla, which takes about 7–8 hours to reach by road. Once you arrive in Shimla, all further travel arrangements to Kafnu will be taken care of by TTH, if you’ve opted for the pick-up service.

Here are the best ways to reach Shimla:

1. By Bus:

The easiest way is to take an overnight bus to Shimla from either Delhi or Chandigarh.

  • Chandigarh to Shimla: 120 km | Around 4 hours
  • Delhi to Shimla: 350 km | Around 10 hours
We recommend choosing government buses from inside the bus terminal, as they are more reliable and usually run on time. Private buses, especially those operating outside the bus station, often face delays. Make sure your bus reaches Shimla by 5:30 am at the latest on the day of the trek pick-up.

2. By Train:

You can take a train to Kalka and then drive or take the scenic toy train to Shimla. If you’re traveling by train, it's best to arrive a day early, as the toy train and connecting travel can take time.

3. By Air:

The nearest airport is Shimla Airport (Jubbarhatti), about 22 km from the city, roughly a 50-minute drive. If you’re flying in, plan to reach a day in advance to avoid any last-minute delays.

Choose the option that suits you best, but plan ahead to ensure a smooth start to your Himalayan adventure!
