Itinerary
Dehradun to Natin Village
Namaste, and welcome to Dehradun. This is the first day of your trek. Early in the morning, you will meet our representatives in Dehradun and we will embark on our special yoga spirit trek journey in the laps of the Himalayas.
Yoga and trekking both heal your body and offer both internal and external strength. Yogic practices help reenergize and revitalize your body, mind, and spirit and when you practice yoga and meditation in the pristine aura of the Himalayas, the benefits are multiplied manifold. Trekking is also a practice that naturally makes you more resilient and when you pair it with yoga it impacts the experience even more.
After the entire group gathers in Dehradun, you will be transferred to Natin Village. Natin is situated at an altitude of 7400 ft and is about 180 km away from Dehradun. It takes 5 - 6 hrs to drive to Natin. Natin is a small settlement in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand and often serves as the base camp for the Dayara Bugyal trek. Nestled in greenery, Natin offers you captivating views of Mt. Shrikanth, Mt. Jaunli, and the mystical Gangotri Range.
The road to Natin is quite scenic as well with the Bhagirathi River flowing beside you along the way. On reaching Natin, we will settle down in the guest house.
Orientation, Yogic Practices & Acclimatization
Start your day with Yogic Cleansing Practice, Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation. Yoga is a divine journey of self-realization and personal growth and when you are practicing in the midst of nature, it brings you closer to your own wisdom and source of happiness. Nature is one of the biggest medicines and a refreshing trek paired with spiritual practices in the Himalayan mountains is a life-changing experience. The pristine and untouched sacredness of the Himalayas for relaxing, rejuvenating, and de-stressing your mind and body.
After morning yoga practices, you will have a Sattvic breakfast and then later a Sattvic lunch. Yoga practitioners believe that a Sattvic diet has a great influence on our consciousness and such a diet brings about purity, harmony, health, and well-being. Such a diet includes seasonal fruits and vegetables, whole grains, pulses, sprouts, dried nuts, etc. and the food is cooked and eaten with love and gratitude.
In the evening you will have a rest and reflection session. The self-reflection sessions help you identify and let go of negative beliefs and thoughts. In yoga practices, self-reflection is an integral part that leads to the visceral awareness of your inner divinity.
Have some refreshments in the evening and later you will practice Gentle Yoga/ Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation that provides effortless relaxation. We will then have our dinner around 7:30 after Satsang or such similar cultural activity or a bonfire night, we will retire in your beds.
Embark on Himalayan Immersion
Today morning also we will start with a Yoga session just like the previous day followed by a Sattvic Breakfast. After breakfast, we will begin our trek towards Gui/Chilpada. Today we will be trekking from an altitude of 7400 feet to an altitude of 9500 ft. The trek has a gradual ascend and it takes about 4 to 5 hours. It’s an easy trail that leads to the beautiful Himalayan meadows. Alpine trees surround our campsite and you can catch a clear glimpse of the Gangotri Range as well as the Bandarpoonch peak.
Yogic practitioners believe that mountains reveal to us the ancient rhythms of Earth and thus hiking and trekking have a profound impact on your body, mind, and spirit. The scenic beauty of the mountains and encountering the culture deepens our connection to the earth and enriches the sense of community. Stable, solid, and unmoving mountains show us the true meaning of life and the Himalayas are a haven for nourishing the mind, body, and soul.
After dinner at the campsite, we will have a Satsang session or a celebratory bonfire post in which we will retreat to our camps and spend the night here.
Chilapada to Dayara top and back to Gui
Today we will make our way to the beautiful Dayara Meadows, set at an altitude of 12,100 ft. The Dayara Meadows is a vast expanse of alpine grasslands with riveting trails or Rhododendrons, Pine, Oak, and Maple vegetation. In the summer months, the meadows are vibrant and lively with yellow, violet, and white wildflowers covering the entire length of it.
The trail to the top is moderately easy and from the top, you will get amazing views of the Bandarpunch peak and the Kala Nag. From the top, you will also get a bird’s eye view of Dodital. The joyful experiences of trekking through the stunning landscape are both transformational and liberating. This holistic journey amidst the inspiring Himalayas is focused on mindfulness to bring about physical, mental, and spiritual harmony.
We will have packed lunch on the way and after spending some time in the Dayara meadows and soaking in the serenity of the mountains, we will descend to Gui, where we will spend the night in camps.
Descend to Natin Village
Start the day with Pranayama and Meditation, breathe, relax and be in the moment. Following a Sattvic breakfast at around 9, we will begin our descent towards Natin Village. We will have our lunch on the way and after reaching Natin, we will have some refreshments in the evening, followed by a Yin Yoga or a group discussion/activity session.
Yin Yoga is a slower and meditative form of yoga that helps you tune inwards and connect with both the physical and mental sensations allowing you to dive into a deeper relaxation mode.
Post Yoga, you will have a Sattvic tea and a Sattvic dinner later. We will end the night with a Satsang Session with reflections and introspections.
Gangotri Darshan, Excursion, Gangnani, and Departure to Dehradun
Starting our day with Asanas and Pranayamas and a concluding ceremony, we will have a Sattvic breakfast and leave for Gangotri.
Today we will visit the revered Gangotri temple and visit Gagnani, a small town near Uttarkashi, a perfect retreat for nature lovers and the spiritually inclined. Take a dip in the hot water spring that is believed to have healing properties, you can have a rejuvenating bath here. Many people also take a dip in the spring before visiting the holy shrine at Gangotri. Gagnani also offers some of the most stunning mountain views.
Paying homage at Gangotri temple, we will depart for Dehradun. Ending a retreat with a deeper connection with our authentic self and being empowered and nurtured by nature.

These circumstances could include continuous rain or snow, thunderstorms, snowstorms, landslides, floods, earthquakes, or any other natural calamity that poses a risk to the safety of our trekkers. Additionally, unforeseeable events such as local riots, curfews, pandemics, lockdowns, government orders, or any similar situations that compromise the safety of the trekking experience may also necessitate a cancellation.

In such cases, the provision of a voucher does not apply.

We would like to emphasize that weather conditions in high-altitude areas are highly unpredictable and can undergo sudden changes at any time, irrespective of the day. Additionally, circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, and lockdowns, may impact the feasibility of conducting a trek. In cases where we are unable to proceed with an event due to such circumstances that are beyond our direct control, we will make every effort to provide you with an alternative trek that is safer and more suitable.
In such situations, we will issue a voucher to offset the cost difference between the originally scheduled trek and the alternative trek. Choosing the right trek for a beginner can be a bit overwhelming as there are many factors to consider such as distance, elevation gain, terrain difficulty, weather, and time of year. Here are some tips that can help you choose the right trek for a beginner:
1. Determine fitness level: Assess the fitness level of the beginner to understand their physical capabilities. This will help you select a trek that is challenging but not too difficult.
2. Choose a well-traveled trail: A well-traveled trail will have more amenities such as signposts, water stations, and shelter. It is also safer as there will be other hikers on the trail.
3. Consider the length of the trek: For beginners, it is recommended to start with a shorter trek that can be completed in a day or two. This will help them get acclimatized to trekking and build their confidence.
4. Look for gradual elevation gain: Choose a trek with a gradual elevation gain rather than steep ascents. This will make the trek easier and more enjoyable.
5. Check the weather: Check the weather forecast before selecting a trek. Avoid treks during the monsoon season or winter when the trails can be slippery or dangerous.
6. Research the trail: Read about the trail to get an idea of the terrain, altitude, and difficulty level. This will help you select a trek that is suitable for the beginner.
7. Consult with an expert: If you are unsure about which trek to choose, consult our trek expert Mr. Nitin (+91 70600 59773) between 10 AM to 6 PM (Tuesday - Friday). Mr. Nitin will provide you valuable advice and guidance.
Overall, it is important to choose a trek that is enjoyable, challenging but not too difficult, and suitable for the beginner's fitness level and experience.
It is not recommended for a beginner to choose a difficult Himalayan trek. Trekking in the Himalayas can be physically and mentally challenging, especially if you are not used to the high altitude, steep slopes, and rugged terrain. Choosing a difficult trek without the proper experience, fitness level, and preparation can be dangerous and put you at risk of altitude sickness, injury, and other hazards.
If you are a beginner, it is recommended to start with an easier trek and gradually build up your skills and experience. This will help you understand the challenges of trekking in the Himalayas, and also prepare you physically and mentally for a more difficult trek in the future. It is also important to choose a trek that matches your fitness level, experience, and interest.
There is no specific age limit for a beginner trekker. However, it is important to consider your physical fitness, health condition, and personal interests before embarking on a trek. Trekking in the Himalayas can be physically and mentally demanding, and requires a certain level of physical fitness and endurance.
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or are above a certain age, it is recommended to consult with a doctor before embarking on a trek. It is also important to listen to your body and take breaks as needed during the trek to prevent exhaustion or injury.
