A Transformational Experience As Told By One Of Our Trekkers

Recently, Aditi Jain, a mother of a 4-year-old ventured into the Hampta Pass Trek with us and she has beautifully accounted her experience. Amidst the hustle of life and the responsibilities that came with being a mother, Aditi seemed to have lost touch with herself, with little time to dedicate to herself. The rigors of work and the demands of parenting had eclipsed her own well-being.

Hampta Pass Trek

As Aditi details, “A couple of years ago, a colleague's suggestion lingered in my mind - to go for a trek. So, after much thought I booked the Hampta Pass Trek. Leaving my 4-year-old daughter behind was a heart-wrenching decision. It was the first time she'd be without me overnight. I knew it would be tough, but I needed this for myself. After diligent preparation, I set off for Manali, venturing into the unknown. As I entered the world of mountains, all my worries faded away. I found myself smiling for no reason, my inner happiness ignited by the beauty around me. The summit day tested my limits. The ridge walk, the loose moraine, the steep ascents - my body gave in. Yet, step by step, I reached Hampta Pass. It wasn't just about conquering a summit; it was about shattering my own barriers. Tears of joy flowed - a testament to my transformation. Again, descending presented a new challenge for me, the fear of walking downhill. But the Trek Leader bolstered my confidence, ensuring I conquered my fears. The return journey evoked mixed emotions in me, the joy of family and the ache of leaving the mountains. Shubham's words echoed: "Leave your hearts here." And so, I left a piece of mine. Back home, my daughter had her struggles but also found her strength. Some might deem my choice selfish, but I knew I needed to refill my cup. The TTH team's hospitality was humbling. Shubham's connection with nature and his profound thoughts left an indelible mark. He paved the way for my yearly mountain sojourns. This year, I ventured to the Buran Ghati Trek. My daughter now watches trek videos, and we dream of celebrating our birthdays in the mountains. These journeys not only gift us memories but also strengthen the bond we share. Amidst the mountains, I found fragments of myself I had long forgotten. And as my daughter and I plan our mountain escapades, I know that these treks will etch tales of courage, love, and shared dreams into our lives.”

The remarkable journey of Hampta Pass is waiting for you, will you answer the call? The incredible experience of trekking in the Himalayas awaits!!
