The Panch Kedar Trek is a spiritual odyssey that takes you on a transformative journey to five sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. This ethereal pilgrimage not only offers breathtaking views of Himalayan landscapes but also provides a rare opportunity to delve deep into the ancient myths and legends of Hinduism.

  • As the name suggests, the Panch Kedar Trek comprises five sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. These temples are Kedarnath, Madhyamaheshwar, Tungnath, Rudranath, and Kalpeshwar.

  • As the name suggests, the Panch Kedar Trek comprises five sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. These temples are Kedarnath, Madhyamaheshwar, Tungnath, Rudranath, and Kalpeshwar.

  • It is believed that Nandi’s hump is at Kedarnath, his legs at Tungnath, his mid-torso at Madhyamaheshwar, his hair is believed to be at Kalpeshwar, and his face at Rudranath.

  • The total trek is approximately 130 km involving 12 days.

  • Kedarnath Dham is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.

  • Madhyamaheswar temple is hundreds of years old and you can get a close look at the ancient architecture.

  • Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world.

  • Trek to Rudranath is considered the toughest among the Panch Kedars.

  • Kalpeshwar is the only Kedar that remains open throughout the year.


Haridwar - Guptkashi - Kedarnath - Ransi - Gaundhar - Mahdyamaheswar - Chopta - Tungnath - Saggar village - Panar Bugyal - Rudranath - Pipalkoti - Kalpeshwar - Haridwar

  1. Accommodation. (Guest house, Home stay, Camping).
  2. Meals while on trek (Pure Veg).
  3. Trek equipment: Sleeping bag, mattress, tent (twin sharing), kitchen & dining tent, toilet tent, utensils and crampon (if required).
  4. All necessary permits and entry fees.
  5. First aid medical kits, stretcher and oxygen cylinder.
  6. Mountaineering qualified & professional Trek Leader, guide and Support staff.
  7. Transport from Rishikesh to Rishikesh.
  8. Mules to carry the central luggage.
  9. All road transfers by a Mahindra Max Jeep or similar to Panch Kedar sector & back.
  1. Any kind of personal expenses.
  2. Food during the transit.
  3. Insurance.
  4. Any kind of emergency evacuation charges.
  5. Mules or porters to carry personal luggage.
  6. Anything not specifically mentioned under the head.
Things can be provided on demand and availability (participant has to pay extra for these things)

  2. Gamow/PAC HAPO Bag (Portable Hyperbaric Bag) - a unique, portable hyperbaric chamber for the treatment of acute mountain sickness (AMS), also known as altitude sickness.

  3. AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) - are portable life-saving devices designed to treat people experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, a medical condition in which the heart stops beating suddenly and unexpectedly.



Day 1: Drive From Rishikesh To Guptakashi
  • Altitude: 1,319 m/ 4,327 ft

  • Driving Distance: 180 km, 7-8 hrs

  • Overnight stay in Hotel


Day 2: Guptakashi to Gaurikund and trek to Kedarnath
  • Altitude: 3,584 m/ 11,758 ft

  • Driving Distance: 30 km, 1-2 hrs

  • Trek distance: 16-18 km, 8-9 hrs

  • Evening aarti at Kedarnath Temple

  • Overnight stay in Guest house


Day 3: Descend from Kedarnath and drive back to Guptakashi
  • Trek distance: 16-18 km to Gaurikund

  • Drive To Guptkashi: 30 km

  • Overnight stay in a hotel


Day 4: Uttarkashi To Gangotri And Back To Uttarkashi; Bask In The Mystical Essence
  • Driving Distance:35 km

  • Trekking Distance: 5-6 km

  • Overnight stay in homestay


Day 5: Trek from Guandhar to Madhamaheswar
  • Altitude: 3,490 m/ 11,450 ft

  • Trek distance: 10 km

  • Temple visit

  • Overnight stay in homestay


Day 6: Trek from Madhamaheswar to Ransi and drive to Chopta
  • Altitude: 1,319 m/ 4,327 ft

  • Trek Distance: 16-17 km

  • Drive to Chopta (50 km)

  • Overnight stay in Camps


Day 7: Trek from Chopta to Tungnath temple and back to Chopta
  • Altitude: 3680 m/ 12073 ft

  • Chopta To Tungnath, and return (Trek 7 km)

  • Trekking Time: 7 to 8 hrs

  • Water source: none

  • Overnight stay in Chopta Camps


Day 8: Drive from Chopta to Sagar village and trek to Panar Bugyal
  • Altitude: 2,350 m/7520 ft

  • Trek Distance: 10 km

  • Packed lunch at Sagar Village

  • Drive to Chopta from Sagar village

  • Overnight stay in Camp


Day 9: Trek from Panar Bugyal to Rudranath and back to Panar Bugyal
  • Altitude: 3600 m/ 11811 ft

  • Trek Distance: 14 km

  • Overnight stay in homestay/ tent


Day 10: Trek from Panar Bugyal to Sagar village and drive to Pipalkoti
  • Altitude: 1259 m/4028 ft

  • Driving Distance:30 km, 1-2 hrs

  • Trek Distance: 10 km

  • Having done the Rudranath trek, we will be descending to Sagar village once again followed by a drive to Pipalkoti.


Day 11: Drive from Pipalkoti to Kalpeshwar and back to Pipalkoti
  • Pipalkoti - Helang - Vridh Badri - Urgam - Kalpeshwar Temple - Dhyan Badri - Pipalkoti


Day 12: Drive from Pipalkoti to Rishikesh
  • After Morning Tea/Coffee, depart for home.

  • You’ll reach Rishikesh between 5 -6:00 pm. You can book further travel any time after 7:00 pm.
